@@Thebroslandreth Brother, we could tell! Your reaction was just as beautiful as Joey’s singing! You already know I’m in your corner, especially after the kindness and support you’ve offered me… But independent from my own biases, you two really bring something to the conversation we just don’t see enough. The whole story of you two becoming the men you are today, and the music that comes from your journeys, along with the brotherly love we see in your videos… It’s just a sight to behold! Love you guys!!!

What's crazy is that even if Joey was 'only' a singer, songwriter, hell, even Hammond player...that would be enough of a gift to us all. A consummate musician in the truest sense....and that's not even factoring in guitar! Beautiful stuff.

Yeah, the Neville Brothers did the version for the 1990 movie soundtrack “Bird on a Wire,” (I don’t know which came first). Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson flick with the David Karridine (? Dude from Kung Fu). I think you would like the Nevilles’ version, they used harmonic tremolo on the vocals.

Always reluctant to give advice, but here’s what works for me (Dave here)- always lean towards the joy. Which sounds, songs, chords, melodies, etc… spark something in you? Practicing is great, but allowing yourself to find meaning and inspiration in it will keep you coming back to the well again and again. Practice helps you access the ideas quicker, but if you aren’t doing it for a bigger reason you’ll burn yourself out!
@Rygo-wk3jm7 ай бұрын
