This approach to "enriching" metalcore and deathcore with elements of hardstyle and hard trance EDM has been practiced for a long time there, especially by those from the Tokyo scene. Check out for example Crossfaith ("Catastrophe'), Hanabie ("Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now"; "Be The Gal"), Sever Black Paranoia ("Baptisma"; "Zionist"), Prompts ("Sun Eater"), Jiluka ("Venom"), "Fuhai" by Knosis & Hanabie... These are all just from the top of my head. Catastrophe by Crossfaith is probably the closest to this particular track tho. It's also really funny to me how in both these songs the hardstyle breakdown is by far the most replayed part. Metalheads need to start going to raves more lol
