I just love how Gabe ultimately used his strength to turn the tables and kill Kynette by lifting him up, who thought he had gained the upper hand just because he had hand to hand combat skills. Then again though, I love Kynette’s sense of humour.

I noticed it too. In this movie, Stallone's character is really tough, muscular guy, good friend and hero - but really, he actually CAN'T fight properly here at all. That makes this film quite unusual in Stallone's filmography, he's not a superhero here, just a regular guy.
