Early one spring morning in 2020, with the UK still in the grip of the first coronavirus lockdown, a white delivery van pulled up outside a semi-detached house in the Yew Tree area of West Derby, a suburb in Liverpool.
Inside the vehicle were four men. 3 high-level drug dealers, brothers Jason and Craig Cox and notorious career criminal Richard Caswell, as well as low-level henchman Benjamin Monks-Gorton. The group were heavily armed with axes and machetes.
This was no ordinary break-in. Their target was a stash house on Croxdale Road West, used by one of the biggest crime groups in Merseyside, belonging to a gang that had supplied the three dealers with wholesale quantities of cocaine. The Cox brothers had done their homework - they had identified the stash house by placing a tracker on a courier's car and having it followed.
They knew the group they were about to rob a serious criminal outfit and there would be serious retaliation if they were found out.
The stakes were high. The robbery nearly went to plan.

Sounds like the start of the hugely under-rated _Filmumentary_ .... (yes, its true, you just witnessed the creation of a new word) ... set in Liverpool called *_SHOOTERS_* ... If you've not seen it, I highly recommend it! It stars a cast of actual doormen/"gangsters" taking on their _actual_ roles but with a written script. The acting is bang on considering these are 'just' doormen/body builders/faces .. little known fact is that it has a cameo or 2 of Aaron "Teflon Don" Couglan, as leader of the "Manchester Firm" .. he even drives his own classic Bentley in the film. Nice to know the Manchester and Liverpool lot were friendly then.. long may it continue. Thanks for the upload though! This channel is amazing!

It could be that they're facing charges or are under investigation for something else. Usually when it's that serious the Crown will put a gagging order to stop them being named. This is so any potential juror pool is less likely to hear their names in a criminal context. If they did, the defence could argue that they won't receive a fair trial because they've been portrayed as criminals by the press. This actually happened to a couple of people I know recently. The actual incident they were accused of took place in 2022. One was remanded that whole time, another was free because his alleged role wasn't quite as serious. Both were imprisoned in early March of this year. Friends and family knew about it, but until the actual sentencing I was really curious as to why there was absolutely no mention of the incident, given the severity and danger to the public.
