Always good to hear from you Greg! I'm learning a lot about the cultures here too. And I'm glad you enjoyed the humor. Thanks for watching.

I've enjoyed watching this series. It is certainly an interesting adventure, and one that i'm glad i can live vicariously through you, because i'm not sure i could take the ups and downs.🤕

Thank you for taking the time to watch my ups and downs! The ups are really much better than the hassle of the downs. The people I meet are really what has made the adventure for me. The language barrier is a big issue for me though. Thanks for writing me and let me know your thoughts on future videos you see.

Good job Chris. Impressive patience. I’m guessing you slept like a rock but I’m sure you will lets us know in the next episode. Safe travels!

You bet I slept like a rock! I also ate like a horse (but then was sick for two days). Fortunately, I had a place to stay and sleep it off though. Thanks for the comment.

Man, that IS brutal! Flat as a pancake and still at 14,000', for miles! Dude, I think you are right about being there at the wrong time of year. Look, as I've told ya, done the mountains in Colorado an Montana, but damn, there was always a known route down the mountain ahead!! And the grade going down never was never as far away as what you are experiencing. (of course, you know that, but I'm being emphatic for the sake of those not so inclined to ride that high) I salute you, my friend. Most folks have no idea how cold it can get at that altitude....on a bike, but I do. So, when you try to come up with the words......I get you!!! I'm glad to see that the border issue was as simple as it happened. I was expecting worse. But, those folks seem to work with you pretty good. BTW, that was some lake, Titicaca, 4 days to traverse. Freakin' amazing. Well, as usual you got me (us) excited for the next episode of your trip. This La Paz place looks like trouble we haven't seen. Good luck!

I'm just glad it is a dry area because at least I had the sun shining the whole time (albeit it didn't give much warmth at that altitude). I'm glad you can relate to the bike ride, although I'm sure both of us remember much more of the beauty than the pain that went with it. It was definitely worth it! The border agents always seem nice, but like any other government organization employee, they usually don't look for ways to make the process easier for the "customer". Titicaca took 4 hours for one side, not 4 days... wow that really would have been a journey! La Paz was cold cold cold! And there was no heater in the hotel. Fortunately, I had a room with a window that faced North (towards the sun), so the days weren't so bad. But like any big city, it was a hassle. Out of La Paz and down the other side of the mountains next week. Gasoline seems to be a problem though. Thanks for writing me!

Lake Titicaca 🤣..........the border crossings are brutal! When we gonna see a flight? Heading up to Moonshiners fly-in next Friday
@mydogischoking5 ай бұрын
Hopefully the borders will get better. I hear the onces between Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil are easy... we'll see. The flights are coming! I just have to get down the other side of the Andes first. Enjoy moonshiners! Take good video if the clouds come over the mountains there. Thanks for writing.

I imagine the thoughts and reflecting on such a long motorcycle rides are almost never ending. Why were gas stations not allowed to sale you fuel? And man going three days without food. Dang I’d be cranky at the 20th or so hour. That’s a long fast. Time to stop for some titicaca and Oreos! Travel safe
@mydogischoking5 ай бұрын
Hey Eric! I'm not sure, but I think the gasoline situation is political. The government subsidizes the gasoline price for the citizens and if you are a foreigner you have to pay a higher price. For the citizens, gasoline is less than 50 cents a liter. But it is over a dollar for a foreigner. That doesn't bother me at all because it is the same price throughout South America. What is difficult however is that most gasoline stations are only allowed to sell to citizens. So many times I had to buy gasoline from a minimarket or someone off the street because you can travel very long distances between gas stations that are allowed to sell to foreigners. I didn't mind going without food because all I could find was fried food, and not very good fried food at that. Definitely need some titicaca and Oreos! Great idea! Thanks for writing me.

why did the police stop you?
@mydogischoking5 ай бұрын
It's normal in South America. There are police stops everywhere. Most of the time I don't film them. Thanks for the comment.
