Can you define “beginner” when it comes to quality vs quantity? Is it based on a certain number of videos than you are no longer a beginner or a certain number of subscribers or what?

A wise man once told me "An Artist's work is never done it's abandoned." In terms of quality; we have to decide at which point we are going to call it done and move on to the next projects.

This is a really good point. There has to be a point where we say it’s good enough and stop looking for perfection. Otherwise we self sabotage and never post the video.

“Writing songs and playing live is like turning on a tap in an old house; first you’ll get the mud and dirty water, but the more you get it out, the quicker the good water starts flowing” - Ed Sheeran I think the same applies to KZbin. I have perfectionist tendencies when it comes to creative work, but there is something to be said for the momentum that comes from creating without abandon at the beginning of a new endeavor.

10 days ago somebody commented on my video and the comment wasn't so good. I went back to check my video and noticed how terrible videos I was making at the start. My audio was distorted and had no pace in the video. The things I had described in 4 minutes, could be described only in 1 minute. Anyway, the topic was good so that particular video gets views even today and even with terrible editing. I took his comment and went back to the same stuff and captured a new video on the same topic. This is how we learn, polish our skills, grow, and earn.

Quality is better than Quantity! because a long youtube video with Quality will makes the viewer Remember you & Once they saw your next video again maybe they will watch you again! Even you just Upload Once a Month!

Another important element is to post what you like. If you post about things that you enjoy about like me with video games, then it makes it easier and makes me WANT to make quality videos.

My personal experience as a person who never showed own face on camera - only quantity, repetition and time helps. Sometimes it was soooo freaking bad that I forced myself to repeat and refilm it multiple times. It used to take 4 hours to film only and then numerous hours to edit. After 6 month and around 70 videos I managed to record 30-40 minutes and then edit for maximum 2 with better quality

Thank you brooooo~~~I've really learned something! I've been a KZbinr for over a month now, and I have 273 subs! Watching very few views and subscriptions every day is really agonizing. Sitting in the office, you can be lazy, but now, even when you're sleeping, you're dreaming about content! Content! Content! But I feel like I'm growing, and that's important, everyone, let's do it, don't give up, everything will be fine! 💪 🤜

I love your comment on how quality is not necessarily production quality - so far my channel has 4.5M views and I’ve shot everything on an iPhone/iPad/GoPro and edited all videos on iMovie on iPad!
@thatsjusttara

Sometimes that's okay for subscribers but it's less chances to get discovered. Sometimes KZbin randomly picks your video and suggests it like crazy. I got a 70k views video for no reason. No high quality, no special editing, it was an old Android too. No efforts. It just got randomly picked by the algorithm. I wouldn't restrict myself only to high quality videos because you never know which one will have a break through. .

My personal experience🤔 is that there is a third variable to it and it is -luck/correct time/what people want to watch. One of my videos got 29000 views when I had over 100 subscribers , and effort was minimal on video, I was just tested a new wall colour I freshly painted. but the latest video 30 views only even though heaps of preparation, professional edit etc. So I would say the topic matter (in the first case “how to find out your partner cheats on you” and second “strategies to reduce stress in 2024” , so you can see what people are interested in 😀 my verdict -do maximum quantity without of compromising on quality , but better post “a good video” , than not to post or take ages for “a perfect video”. ❤️thanks for all your content, you guys are so encouraging!

Things I genuinely have questions about. 1. What’s the best video editor for KZbin channels that are griwing? 2. How do you more viewers to subscribe? (Almost 96% of viewers do not subscribe to my channel) 3. How do you make money on KZbin apart from Adsense?

Quantity in the beginning... I use to pump animations out super fast 2 years ago and the last 6 months I slowed it down because I have the skills already. So now my new channel I'm making a series that each season will take 4months to finish and even tho its not out i already know its gonna go insane because I understand what works on YT and what don't now from all the spamming I did years ago

At the end of the day the most important thing is how popular you are. It is all about ramping up your number, and when I found out that I could trigger organic growth after getting first 1000 subs (using a bit of Famester), everything got a lot easier and my main channel blew up massively. People are just looking at your numbers when searching for some content. If you have low subs no one cares about you, even if you have the best content on platform.

Everyone starts somewhere you are right ✅️ but... he's also very correct 👌🏾 you can do your case study and you will realize that you have a meaningful number of subs eg 1k they want to be the next subscriber but when they see 0 - 100 it's hard to get them to hit that button. The fact of a KZbinrs journey.

That’s what I’m about right now, quality and uniqueness. I also want the characters I designed for my animated reality, reflect something out of my personality so it feels natural to produce. I believe I spent about 2 years developing and designing before I started uploading in December. Nobody could copy me because it’s original, my heart and soul is in this channel. I’m not excellent, but I do what I can. I do everything alone and this is the best I can do. Whenever I start earning, I’ll invest in improving my skills and hire people that can help me build this and do good for communities ❤

Good stuff... in my channel I was unable to just regurgitate quantity as the information and research took up a lot of time. I already had map animations skills and video editing skills, so it was all about the research. And since it took so much time, quantity was just out of the question, and I had to do QUALITY only. That said I tried a few "cheap" quantity videos in early-mid 2023 and the views were dismal. When I went back to QUALITY, my viewership went back up. I still struggle not understanding why some videos have been better than others, and feel that I am not in the driver's seat and that YT has the final say as to who gets my videos suggested. It's a struggle. I am embarking on a second channel (WHY? LOL). It's going to be about weird locations/sort of travel like which is a huge passion of mine. I like to visit strange places or find new things. I put out a short 2 minute video and it garnered pretty decent amount of views, so I know I am on the right track. Oh... and it is going to be a QUALITY over quantity channel, with badass camera, audio, drone footage, top notch editing, etc. Wish me luck... Hopefully the YT Gods will like it and push the new channel.

I think content quality if most important. Then quantity, and lastly is cinematic quality. I think when people hear Quality, they immediately think expensive gear and professional editing. Content quality is about the quality of the story or message or quality of the information, not really about expensive gear. With just an iphone you can make content that has a super high content quality.
