Not surprised. Doc Rivers has been a bad coach for over a decade. He took the 2008 Celtics to a title but needed 7 games to get past an inferior Hawks roster. Since that time he hasn't made a finals run despite having a prime Chris Paul + Blake Griffin or Kawhi/Paul George. He also led the 76ers to a playoff loss against a worse Hawks team a few years ago. His NBA contributions should be as an analyst. He doesn't deserve his post he's pathetic.

I don't think Gary Trent 3s are bad shots, i think he's just in a funk this year. But, i think the general lack of spacing is very emblematic of Doc's lack of approach to schematic offense. Budenholzer had similar players and had a much more poised offense.
@sherwinpoh5684Ай бұрын
I think the main goal of the double pick and role is to punish switching defenses. For the warriors the main goal of the first is to get Luka on steph the second is to get Luka and a big defending a pick and roll. For the bucks I’m not sure if that was their intention as well just that the defense was in a drop so I’m not sure what it accomplishes.

You'd be right if this was high school or college. The worst player in the NBA still earns 6 figures. Mid players earn over a million a season. @nakamiyonemura2001Ай бұрын
@@peteraudu4554 I'm not contesting accountability here, my point is if Giannis doesn't want to watch film, it's in Doc/Ham or even the GM job to instill the need for him to do so. A high earning job is still a job, and great coaches would have to make learning sets/watching film a requirement

The Bucks are trying everything they can to keep Giannis. They have his brother on the roster. Then Giannis fell into the trying to be a GM trap. In one of those what-if scenarios, has Terry Stotts not resigned as associate HC before last season started, he probably would've been the Bucks interim HC after Griffin got fired. I dont know how much better the Bucks would've been under Stotts, but he probably would've had a better offensive structure, and as Dame's ex-HC in Portland, he probably would've figured out a way to get Dame going, as well.
