Thanks for explaining the meaning "Katannu" . As a Pali learner I was baffled by the way this word came to be. Kata means done and nnu means knowing or aware. So it's the knowing of what's been done for us.

It is not a correct translation of the Pali sentence. It was not about kindness. It was about 're-giving-generosity'.

Phra Ajahn Daeng Guitar from Thailand. I'm the Phra-ara-hant. I teach dharma in English. I teach you for free no cost. The ultimate of studying in Buddhism is to attain Nirvana only. Achieving Nirvana is the end of all suffering. This means you can stop the ycle of death and reincarnation forever and can escape from samsara forever. The studying in Buddhism is not just about wanting to know what the Buddha taught and then we memorize and teach to each other because you have never attained Nirvana. You are not the Phra-ara-hant. The word Phra-ara-hant means a perfect person who has realized as it really is and has attained Nirvana.
