That pivot lock is real handy as hell when your other hand has to hold a grip on something. and waaayyy better than the traditional springs mechanism!

That’s right my dude… one hand on our knife and the other around the neck of some cuck 😂

I wonder if Reate put this new lock on a budget knife to get it out to more people for testing. It looks impressive, but a lot going on. I thought about getting one, but those speed holes are a big no for me. Thanks for the disassembly, very interesting

Looks great. How’s the detent? Can you shake it open? I hope not. Is the hardware T8? Good vid 👍
@Knifedope6 ай бұрын
Detent isn’t bad… it’s got a detent ball that keeps the blade secured when in closed position. T8 & t6 hardware

Nice. Thanks. Can’t wait to get mine. And what a bargain coming from Reate!

It looks like a nice piece but overpriced imo. This knife should be closer to $80.

I havent seen Nitro-V reflect like that in stonewash before. Nice. No on the speedholes, though i think that's where the budget cut happened. ha!

😂I hate ‘em too… they put them there for weight reduction only… this is a thick little bitch so they had to do something

Reate makes some of the best knives I’ve ever seen. Having them in the budget realm is a crazy thought and seeing it in practice I will say they did it the right way. Use cheaper materials and simple aesthetics but offer something innovative. Love seeing the new lock designs and even though I’m not really buying budget stuff anymore, this knife without the speed holes can definitely find a home in my collection.

🤣 you secretly love speed holes and you know it!… in their defense, those holes are strictly for weight reduction as she’s a thick girl
