Reflecting back on the season, I feel as if people minimize just how many things happened to the team. Not only was Hyde out for the seaon, Poyer wasnt healthy for a lot of games. Tre White came back in the latter half if the season for which he wasn't neqrly back to forum. Von Miller went out as well, Allen injured his elbow, Jamison Crowder went out, The O line was absolutely decimated to the point of using third string and practice squad guys. Thats just the injuries. They also had an unbelievably tough time with not one, but two natural disasters throwing off their schedule. There was the mass shooting, Dawson Knox's brother suddenly passed away, and of course, Damar Hamiln literally dying on the field. It was just absolutely brutal the entire time. It felt as if the team was just apathetic by the end of the season.

Every time the bills have choked, it was on defense 95% of the time. Leslie Frazier was playing so gut-less with his defensive scheme. From the “Hail Murray” moment, to 13 seconds, to many other occasions of prevent defense, time and time again his scheme would implode when it mattered most. Of course injuries didn’t help but that’s part of the game. Since he stepped down, I expect McDermott to refortify the defensive scheme and that alone should fare well for the team in critical moments.

Then next you know, it’s a shootout between skylar Thompson and Josh Allen. Honestly it seems like a lot of the blame needs to go towards the coach for not having these guys ready. If the Bills are finally getting back to the SB, Josh has to maintain his composure. And as a team, they’re playoff performances last season were FAR from convincing. They were pushed around at home by a badly injured Dolphins team and then were smoked by a much better Bengals team. As we all know, the window of opportunity doesn’t stay open for very long. It’s definitely now or never.

For the first question, no they won't have a run game, they will still use Allen to run it, and just pass like no other. And second question, Gabe isn't a #2 he is like a 3 or 4, has great games, but falls off a cliff. They don't have a solid #2

Thorough and objective analysis. The argument against their ‘window’ closing soon would be that Allen is a stud, and that he should/will produce until the wheels fall off. But with that said, he takes a ton of hits and has a tendency to fumble due to his aggressive play style, so it’s harder to predict. Essentially it depends on limited team-wide injuries, Allen performing well, and competent drafting/contracting going forward… guess we’ll see. I’m hopeful, but I’m biased. Go Bills!

They needed to win now last year. They were never the same again after the Packers game in week 8. Something changed after that game and the offense seemed to become more reckless with turnovers. Brian Daboll's presence on the coaching staff was missed last year. Before Cincy blew them out in the playoffs, they nearly lost to a 3rd string backup QB.

It’s also especially harder than 2022. The dolphins now have Jaylen Ramsey, Xavier Howard, Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert, and Tua (even though Tua isn’t proven as a franchise quarterback yet, he still might be a threat, it’s a big season for him). The jets now have had arguably the best offseason in the entire league, causing them to get Aaron Rodgers, Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and even more. The patriots are still mediocre, but have Bill O Brien back for OC to help Mac Jones.

Buffalo is an odd duck. They have the talent, and the coaching staff to easily make them SB contenders, yet, they always fall short. I know I personally find it ironic, because so many people hype them up each year as the "it" team in the AFC, yet they have no great accomplishments to claim. Honestly, I feel like the Bills have already missed their shot. Their best chance of a SB was during Joe Burrow's first year when he got injured (aka before the Bengals rose to power), as this was the year that really, it was just the Chiefs the Bills had to worry about. Now, you have the Chiefs still running the AFC as they have been for essentially 5 years, the Dolphins and Jets in your own division (Bills are better than these two, but it is not going to be easy), the Bengals, the Jags (who are on the rise), and other mid tier teams like the Chargers. The AFC has been getting better, not weaker, and really, the Bills road to a Super Bowl this year especially (due to them being in a loaded division) is going to be rough, really rough. Again, just my opinion, but I truly believe they have missed their shot. They cannot afford to keep missing the deep run, not when you already have a top player like Diggs who is getting frustrated and tempted to leave.

Nah. Allen in his prime will keep the Superbowl window open longer than this year. Also, Beane's biggest strength is managing the cap. It doesn't look great next year but we will all be looking at the team around this time in 2024 and wondering how he was able to field such a good squad. Another point of contention is you didn't mention Allen's injury in 2022. He had a significant UCL injury in his throwing arm. Anyone who watched him play consistently would be able to confirm that he wasn't the same guy after the injury than before. He was playing at an otherworldly level then he dropped off dramatically. He was very close to tommy john.

Their clock is ticking much faster than their fans are comfortable admitting. Winning is hard in the NFL and maintaining dominance is even harder. The notion that they'll reign supreme in the division for the next 10-15 years is wishful thinking, they can lose it all within 2 years from this very upload. Miami is here, the Jets might actually be on the way, and the Patriots just need one more piece and a one more season before their back to their true form. Good news bills fans, this year has their best chance of winning the confrence. KC is a bit weaker than usual, bengals and eagles are the only two big losses, and rodgers and the jets arent gonna fly high. Lowest they go is 12-5, and their highest may even be undefeated (unlikely though). And whoever makes it to the super bowl on the afc side will most likely win the superbowl. Buffalo is the epitome of the devil is in the details. Top 5 offense, turns the ball over more than almost anyone else. Top 5 defense, 16th in sacks. If Josh Allen doesnt force a few throws, or Von Miller doesnt go down, the team is virtually unbeatable. But when they keep making these small mistaes one after another it becomes an anchor on the season. I think the BIGGEST help for the Bilsl this season is Dalton incaid. The Bills had NO, 0, zilch offense in the middle of the field in 2022. They tried 5 guys to replace Cole Beasley, including Cole Beasley, and nobody could work the middle of the field. Crowder was hurt after a rough start, Mckenzie couldnt handle the role, Shakir was very much a rookie, James Cook wasnt given the trust of the OC and Beasley looked decrepit. Givein Allen a Dalton Kincaid sized safety blanket in the middle of the field could be the boost Allen needs to cut the turnovers and really get into gear.

The Chiefs got rid of Tyreek Hill because of the cap and gave Mahomes a back loaded deal that will affect them at some point. Salary cap is moveable but eventually you have to pay up. It’s really not that hard to understand

Josh Allen besides one year has been overrated. His arm is amazing and running is great. But he wont ever have a better chance than the 13 second game vs the chiefs. The bills weapons are getting older. Outside of Diggs the bills offense has very little above average starters. This offense is so Alllen dependant and without Dabolls elite scheming its not gonna happen. I think they miss the playoffs or are the 7 seed. Their defense is weaker than ever. The top 3 secondary players are all off massive injuries and tre white was awful last year. They drafted a great te but he had a back injury already and tes typically arent great for 3 years. The dline is a lot of names but not good players. I just dont see this team doing shit.

Buffalo is definitely an interesting team. They are an amazing team but need to clean things up quick. I think if the defense can stay healthy and Allen doesn’t have another shoulder injury they will be a Super Bowl contender. Another thing is I do think the defense will improve under Sean micdormen or however you spell it because his defense is gonna be a lot more aggressive which is what the bills needed in their last two losses

Bills are an elite team but Mahomes is in the way. Now you add in Burrow, things just got a lot tougher. Not to mention Dolphins, Jags, Chargers and possibly Browns if Watson regains his old form. Even within their own division it is difficult. Jets have ARod and Pats are always a tough out. Good luck.

Moreso the Ravens, Jets, and Broncos if Russ returns to form but outside the change in teams, yes. I think Watson’s done and Brandon Staley is such a shit Coach that the defense didn’t improve, and the Chargers will regress out of the playoffs. Either way, I don’t see the Bills getting past the divisional. They’ll lose out on the division and have to face 2 of the Chiefs, Bengals, Jags.

I disagree. Plenty of teams have had far worse seasons before making and winning a Super Bowl. They among the most injured teams in football last year yet had a hell of a season up until the Hamlin injury. Nothing that bad will happen this coming year most likely. They’ll be good again.

I think everyone is hating on the Bills way to much, they have a great team, and they did lose Tre White, Micah Hyde, and Von Miller multiple times throughout the year. The defense was also very bad in the 2 playoff games versus the Bengals and the Dolphins. If the defense steps it up, they go all the way to the Super Bowl and hold the Lombardi trophy.

Yeah I think last year was actually the now or never year. But then Micah got hurt. Then Von got hurt. Then Damar collapsed in Cinci. The season was lost that night in Cinci. The last few games we were just going through the motions. Could tell with how we barely beat the phins with a backup in the playoffs that we were done. We're on borrowed time now. Singletary and Edmonds bounced, but they were both kinda mid imo. Diggs is starting to be a bitch here now. It just feels like the magic is gone. I would love to be proven wrong and the Bills win the Lombardi this year.

I have the Bills getting 5 and having to go through all of the Jaguars, the Chiefs, and possibly the Broncos or Ravens (I think the Jets and Bengals get upset in the WC by both of those teams) They likely won’t get past Level 2 of that gauntlet which is the divisional round. And even if they did, once they get to the SB, they’re burnt out.
