That´s a cool version dude. This definitely needs more views. This lower tone arrangement sounded great in the strings and matched very well your lower pitch, relaxed voice. How did you capture the sound, which mic for such low amplitude? And which SW did you use for the sound editing/effects? Regards from Brazil, and keep up the good work.

Hey! I'm so glad you liked it, thanks for all your kindness. I used a Tascam Portastudio 8 track and used the built in microphones, sort of angling the machine and EQing each mic to be closer to the guitar and a bit roomier for the vox. I exported the whole thing into Logic and did some really minimal EQing and mastering before finishing it up. The reverb on the tascam is the only effect on the track (though theres an unintentional delay with the camera mic that I didn't notice before I posted haha). Ryan, I posted your cover on my stories on IG. I love how it contrasts with the original song. Whereas the original song and key transport me to a garden, yours takes me to the bayou and I’m surrounded by fireflies in there. It’s heartfelt and haunting like the original, but a bit more organic, I’d say. Thank you, thank you so much!

yo man, really great cover - im especially entranced by how you layered the harmonies for the morning/evening part of the chorus, but I cant figure it out! How many vocal tracks do you have there, and did you duplicate the lead and shift the octave up/down, or are you harmonizing with different melodies?
