I haven't heard this before, or if i have i don't remember it. I think The Buggles had one huge hit , and maybe two minor ones before, Trevor Horn became a big time producer

Buggles, was the brain child of Trevor Horn, best known as a producer, he's produced songs for artists such as, ABC, Yes, Soft Cell, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Simple Minds, Seal, Adamski, Godly and Cream, The Art of Noise, Malcolm McLaren, amongst many others, during the '80s he was the go to producer.

Yes, it definitely is quite a melancholic song. A remake of 'Into The Lens' by Yes , on which the two Buggles Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes had also sung and played the synths; They'd been members of that band for the length of 1 album and tour ('Drama'). Nice that you two liked this one! 😊👍 In regards to more Buggles suggestions: I personally quite like their 'Lenny' , which I'd heard for the first time only a few months ago [channel: TopPop] 🙂 PS: The Buggles had _two_ albums.

The Drama album by Yes is unfairly under-rated by some because of the Downes/Horn involvement. It's the transitional album between classic 70s Yes and Trevor Rabin era 80s Yes. Machine Messiah, Does It Really Happen and Run Through The Light are my favourites, but the other tracks are also very good.

@@jameswarner5809 - Yeah, I don't know either what's wrong with those people. I too reckon it's a great album, just like '90125' , which _also_ is disliked by many Yes fans.

You should definitely give the Yes version a listen, known as "Into the Lens". Followed by the the best song from the Drama album, Tempus Fugit".

If I remember correctly, I had actually suggested a 'Who Did It Better' between the Yes version and The Buggles' remake. The only version of 'Into The Lens' with a video hasn't got the best sound, though (mono, and there's also a hum, just like in the 'Tempus Fugit' video. Best song on 'Drama', I agree!). Anyway, I like _both_ versions 😊

I remember this song from back in the day , they were ill fated in that they started off with that huge worldwide hit and struggled to repeat finding that lightning in the bottle formula . Both were superb musicians though . 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I am much more familiar with the cut of this song which Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes recorded with Yes on their, "Drama" album (1980). Please give that version (Into The Lens) a listen if you can. Thanks!
