do you know the name of the finish that JHS uses for the morning glory and sweet tea pedals?

Great video and proyect as always. If i wanted to modify this to be more suitable for guitar, what resistors and caps from the tone section should i be replacing? thanks in advance.

In the build doc, it goes over the EQ section. You'd probably want to change out the resistors and caps in the those sections to focus more on the EQs you are looking to deliver on your guitar.

I want something like that for bass but that sounds more like Lemmy Kilmister, is there any circuit you'd recommend for what I'm looking for?
@erikvincent58462 жыл бұрын
This circuit can get there, but another option would be the Whipped Llama. Using this circuit, you'd probably have less of the blend on dry and more on wet, and turn down the high EQs a bit more and raise the mids a little as well, as Lemmy's tone was more on the distortion and less on "clank".

Lemmy used a dimed out Marshall

@@tobins6800 and make sure you are on the neck pickup, have the preamp have its mids on 10, bass and treb on 0 and be drinkn' whiskey

is there a guitar power amp scheme that almost resembles a tube ampilife, which is good, including the preamp?
@erikvincent58462 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying there isn't one, but I haven't seen a good power amplifier tube circuit made without tubes. However, there are some solid state circuits that have a good "feel" to them, such as the Sunn Beta Lead. But if that ones sound isn't one you like, I wouldn't recommend. The schematic for the Sunn Beta Lead is out there, if you google for it.

ok, thank you very much,, I am very grateful for the answers to your comments and suggestions,,, if for the amp simulator how does the sound, is it almost close to the original tube
@erikvincent58462 жыл бұрын
@@kanthafa3317 usually "amp simulators", specifically ones that simulate tube amps, typically are just simulating the preamp section, which includes most of the tone shaping portions of that circuit of that amp. The ones that come closer to sounding "correct" are ones based on JFETs. I have one I have been using for a while that is a preamp of a Laney Supergroup tube amp. At some point, I wouldn't mind releasing it.

oh so it's just the preamp part, can I see your Laney Supergroup tube amp? if you don't mind can send it to my email

I've studied the schematic of Sunn with different leads, but I'm having trouble finding the TR and IC materials used...

can we download the PCB file somewhere?

Unfortunately, not. However, the schematic is found in the build doc.

Thanks for the analysis but the "memes" are starting to get old. They distract from the learning process and only become more and more annoying. You are actually doing yourself a favor and saving a lot of time by not editing them in. And people watching these 10 years from now? Don't date yourself, stay timeless ...
