This storm undergoes a transformation from a nontornadic supercell to one producing a strong mesocyclone at the surface with occasional vortices raising dust. The NWS observed damage to power poles and some trees within the mesocyclone. Thus by their standard you are seeing a tornado. Still, this video raises a question about what is a tornado. What do you think?
Another really interesting part of this video is in the beginning when an anvil of a small thunderstorm drifted underneath the much larger anvil of the supercell. Each anvil represents the equilibrium level of the source updraft. The lower the buoyancy of the updraft, the lower the height at which the updraft exhausts its upward momentum and flattens out in an anvil.
