Keep watching. Then slightly dip your toe (nail) into (pretending to fake it til you make it);so BE Cristina for a few moments a day, then a few more moments the next day, then a few a day, a few more moments the next day. You CAN DO THIS. It’s not easy but it is doable, so do it. I know you can. I’ve been there (multiple times) so you can. Consider seeing a counselor for depression, and a support group to discuss your depression with others who understand and are able to share thoughts with you that spark your interest and your joy.

Neons, pastels, multichromes, a Holoween collection, "Simplicitea" collection inspired by tea, and "nude/neutral" holos (like taupe, mauve, greige, soft golds...)! Also I think it's great you're taking customer feedback, but I love the vision Cristine has and don't think that should be compromised or the brand loses its appeal. Changing or having options on the details like brush size would be good, but you can never please everyone with everything.

Having option on brush size would almost mean 2 products. 2 machines to fill the bottles. 2 different bottles. A thin brush allows more control. Everyone i have like done nails With likes thin brushes if coverage is good. Her brushes spread out quite a lot. Some are broad but stiff. And then it's less even and less control. I am now using nail hardner from herome. They haven't changed their brush in like 20 years. And it just is so nice and thin. I remember hema (warehouse. Home brand is pretty good. 5 a piece) their brushes are still round but i have a 15 year old polish from em that still works. And the brush is thin.

Regarding the past collection boxes: to rerelease them you could add in small print on the back "second edition" so it would essentially be the same product (People wouldn't feel the need to buy it twice to complete a collection) but it would be a small signifier that it was not from the original run. Like book printing editions! As someone who bought the launch box, I would not be salty if it was available for purchase as often as there was demand/ you could stock it

I was actually blown away by all the little details in the packaging when I received my first order. I sit and gawked an ranted to my boyfriend before I even opened a bottle. Re: later production of limited editions. You can get later editions of special edition books. Why not mark the origonal limited edition run as such, and any restocks as second edition. I'm 51. I've never really done my nails. Found Christine through Safia and have really enjoyed how grounded and real she and Ben are. If you did a followup I have two questions: 1) You mentioned at the end that you didn't even mention how much time you spend on Holo Taco which leads to my question: how do you manage Holo Taco business while at your crime stats job, for example if a warehouse problem occurs and you guys need to be contacted while you're still at your day job. Technically it's illegal using one company's time to work on work from another company. 2) Have you considered the fact that Holo Taco might become so big a company that you might need to finally leave your crime stats jobs?

Some computer fans tend to be towards the back of the computer, so it wil be lovely and warm there :) Not great for the computer though xD (Don't worry, the laptop will not catch fire. The CPU has a temperature monitor on it so when it reaches a set temperature it will shut the computer off. There is some degree of thermal protection on modern laptops. Plus, some fancier laptops have the fan coming out at the back, but as you raise the lid the monitor comes down so hot air is blown upwards in front of the monitor. This means that it is very difficult to block the fan output. My own laptop has that and it's nice! Good idea.)

Re: limited collection boxes, I'm in favour of bringing back boxes that had higher demand than anticipated. I have both gotten them before they sell out, and missed out on them by mere minutes, and for the ones that I do own that other people wish they had managed to buy, my thoughts are that we should share the love :) Also, for polishes we need: bring out a black holo!!! ..... and a grey holo and a white holo. I need my asexual flag nails for pride next year :D

Hi Katrina, I've done the Asexual flag on my thumb before and nothing makes it pop more than a Scattered Halo. I've been using a Kosmic Colour gray that matches well. But a Holo Gray would be amazing...not a common colour for sure. I got into Nail art by doing the Trans Flag on a thumb to show support for my Son...it's grown from there :-P and I regularly rotate through the Pride flags. (Currently wearing the Pan and Trans flags using Cristine's Anniversary collection) Pride flags on nails are totally something more ppl should start doing :-D

Personally I wouldn’t mind if you rereleased any of the boxes. They are just beautiful packaging that us consumers want. We aren’t paying for them and they aren’t worth anything. I don’t personally see the boxes as equivalent to a first release of a classic toy or novelty item. So what is the harm in allowing people to purchase them later if you want to do a promotion one day. It would be fun for anniversaries of different collections even.

I would love an opportunity to get a box that at least harks back to the original launch box. They were comparatively incredibly limited (holy cow your initial launch was more wildly successful than you anticipated). I would love something like the original box (if you wanted to keep the actual specific launch boxes special). I have been fortunate enough to snag the rest of the boxes (thank goodness for calendar reminders and various alarms), but I (and perhaps other big fans) would love a chance to finish my collection/ pay tribute to my dedication to and admiration of the brand since launch. Boring suggestion, but you should sell caps with thicker brushes (just the caps, like a pack of 3 or 5 or something) separately for people who want them. Seeing that thin brush when I get a new bottle of Holo Taco is definitely a big "Cristine made this" signal, and I'd hate to see the brand lose that part of its identity, but I like thicker brushes better in practice. It's hard to find good quality brushes like that, so I'd be glad to spend a little extra for something that's been given Cristine's "seal of approval."

I really think having your own polish thinner would be so beneficial. I've tried so many and they either destroy the polish or they take like half the bottle of thinner in order to thin out the polish. Not to mention that finding the thinner itself is so hard (likely due to restrictions on shipping and whatnot). I would die for a polish thinner that works best on Holo taco products, especially the Glossy Taco.

Really? I bought a very cheap one from ebay in professionall size( 100ml) years ago and i still use it to this day without problems. The bottles that u can buy in the Stores are so tiny they are empty after thining 2 polishes with them. Waste of money.

I only had to use a few drops of the one I got from my local sally beauty (or maybe it ended up being Ulta I can’t remember, it was a small bottle though) but I’ve only had to use it for not milky white and haven’t had an issue since. While the stores were closed / if you live in rural areas I’d imagine the polish thinner can be hard to come by so her selling it knowing she makes thicker formulas is a great idea. & on second thought, I haven’t had to try it personally yet - but I have seen other comments of how traditional nail polish thinners can cloudy clear top coats due to some sort of reaction, so like you said if there’s a way to make a thinner specific to what you use in your top coat to keep it from going cloudy that’s great too.

The first Glossy Taco I ordered I didn't tighten the cap well enough after I used it and it has thickened to the point where it doesn't work well. I ordered and received another one but was actually hanging on to the thick one in the hopes that Cristine will come out with a polish thinner that we can use with Glossy Taco. I have a bunch of my fingers crossed for this. :)

Sue Wilson yeah that seems to be a common issue with a lot of the quick dry top coat formulas - is that they get super thick quick due to their reaction with air even just in the bottle, and thinning it with regular thinner practically ruins the top coat. I’ve had the same experience with the seche vite quick dry top coat she used to recommend before her own - so I’d imagine they’re similar formulas. I also hope she comes out with a thinner for her top coats, or I might just use another brands.. to each their own 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have absolutely never once questioned the price point of the polish. I trust Cristine to deliver a high quality product at a fair price. From all the polishes I have bought from her, they are all universally a higher quality than any other nail polish I’ve purchased. They are also far more beautiful. Most are completely opaque in one or two coats which means I’m using far less product every time I apply it as well. Two years after launch I still have my original toppers and they are still beautiful and apply perfectly. I recommend the brand to everyone who is interested in nail polish. The slightly (VERY slightly) higher price point is so worth the quality of the product.

I would LOVE to see the rainbows back as a collection, "out of the vault." Between the timing with covid and the fact that rainbows are so universal and iconic, and that I'd love the chance to get it personally. On a more general perspective, as you go forward from being one year old, it would be interesting if you occasionally did a throwback collection limited re-release of a fan-favourite or Cristine-favourite or otherwise notable set from the previous year (or 2 years ago, etc.), especially if it's a non-limited polish you still stock. I love when brands do that, and when it's a very transparent brand and it's been a long time since the collection release it doesn't feel like trickery. On another note, this was such a great episode! I feel like I just got out of a business class with a visiting speaker, in the best possible way.
