Visit Hoaglandscape's business resort in Belmont, N.C., as we delve into the amazing landscape and water features at the home of owner Brian Hoagland!
At Hoagland's home, there is no lawn! It's all plants, trees, flowers and mulch. It's highlighted by a double pondless waterfall in the front yard that has two 40-foot streams. In the backyard, there is a swimming pond fed by two streams and a whopping 13 waterfalls! There is an authentic Japanese teahouse that accentuates the pond. The water is kept crystal clear by a wetland filtration system built inside one of the streams. Koi fish provide a kaleidoscope of color in the pond.
A three-tiered deck gives ample views of the backyard landscape. In the side yard, huge stepping stones make access easy from the front driveway to the pond and natural landscape. Huge boulders are found throughout the landscape highlighted by a dozen Japanese maples of various varieties.
