I bought one of these and just installed it Saturday. My brain tells me that there shouldn't be enough flex between the control arms when they're bolted to the subframe, that rigidly tying them together will make any difference. However, I do feel a difference. I can't really say what the difference is though as any one thing. I know the car feels much sharper overall and I had annoying, very slight creak noise when coming out of my driveway where the curb was uneven...that's gone now. The way the car turns is more immediate as well it seems. I'm trying to keep myself grounded and away from the placebo effect. I am surprised to feel a noticeable difference though. I do have the SuperPro aluminum control arms with caster correction poly bushings and I definitely recommend them. I have the ECS aluminum control arms with poly bushings on my MK5 and they are also really nice. I think those with this stress bar makes a real improvement with driving dynamics and keeps away any unwanted deflection from the front suspension.

Do you happen to have the ECS street shield installed? Worried about clearance and not sure if I'll be able to fit this brace in.

@@kimhyunbin2010 I've read that it'll work with the R32 undertray because you can trim the plastic area where it interferes. However, the ECS Street Shield is metal and you can't really modify it enough to work.

I really couldn't find the right words either to describe it. Much more stable and better turning response but different feeling from the locking collar kit. Much better than I was expecting for sure! I want to replace the entirety of the suspension and control arms but that'll be when I retire it from daily driving. On ECS, I have as daily build wish list and an all out wish list with everything. We'll get there one day!

I'm getting the street shield when I get coilovers. It will be interesting to see how it fits if it does. I wouldn't be worried about losing performance taking it off because I'll be on coilovers by then, but it really looks like it may not fit. Someone with the right tools could probably cut out where it would rub but it seems like a pain.

@@TheParkingLotMechanic I'll tell ya, I put Silvers Neomax coilovers on my mk6 and I love them, but I have a Koni yellow/H&R spring combo on my mk5 and it rides amazingly. I have the dampers set to about half stiffness. I'd say it's about 90% as good, handling wise as the coilovers on the other car, but way better ride quality. Something to think about.

Nice video, I have a hatch brace, sway bar , unbirace rb and ub installed. Wonder how this brace would pair , might be too stiff. Still tempting

Is there such thing as too stiff????? Jk, but I do love how little chassis flex I have at the moment and the sheer turning ability now.
