I know I asked about the mouthpiece in your full run cam but I feel the need to ask, so you think they will let me buy my own Yamaha mouthpiece and get it gold plated and use that instead?

No, they won't. You have to use exactly what everyone else uses. It's an attempt to eliminate all variables. Everything is matched including the mouthpiece. The corps will provide the mouthpiece once you've made it (or let you borrow it at camps). I hope this helps clarify your question! :)
