Live eye is the best, the bewilderment usually stops them from being too aggressive when caught shoplifting. Especially when the live eyes tells them to remove the item from the exact pocket that it is in so they know someone watched them steal it. 100% if the cashier confronted this dude would deny the theft and try to intimidate the cashier, especially when there's no one around at 4:30 AM.

Frequent restarting causes only about $10 worth of wear-and-tear per year, whereas idling leaves fuel residues that damage engine components and cause higher maintenance costs over time. Unless it's vintage or had a carburetor, it's definitely cheaper to restart.

I use to be a manager at a Exon gas station, My Boss & I use to make a game out of who could catch the most shoplifters, We never called the cops unless it was something serious or they tried to run out with cases of beer. If it was just a candy bar or something, We'd let them walk. Our Employees would sometimes get in on the game too. My boss held the record, 16 in a week but I hold a record for most caught in a day "4". Its a fun game but also stressful. Confronting somebody for stealing, You better be sure you're right & you can handle the confrontation because guys like in this video, Use intimidation or pull the race card 99% of the time.
