I would still be upset that he died but it makes me angry that he died when he was shafted after his fight with Kidomaru. The set up with his clan was so interesting and there was so much more I wanted for his character. Since he was my favorite, I just wish he was around way more. I hate his death but I understand why he chose to protect them, but I still feel like he could have protected them without dying in that moment, felt avoidable, compared to Hizashi's death.

Something I find hilarious about people who preach neji is right is that When hinata and naruto call neji out for being a hypocrite and going against his destiny he gets VISIBLY frustrated. The man who preaches destiny is absolute didn't even wanna 100% buy into his not to mention the basis for his destiny take was a lie since he was misinformed about how his dad died

my criticism abt his death was the fact that his character was already concluded after og Naruto , and they just suddenly brought him bad to officially end it with death. Kishimoto had a bad problem with killing characters to ‘conclude’ their character

There is many problems with neji’s character, first him losing from naruto by the power of the nine tails is weird, not to say he is right , but what is the point, naruto was preaching him but at the end he didn’t prove him wrong , And it is even worse when you know that his uncle didn’t tell him the truth this whole time , why ?

Naruto had to be thrown off a canyan to pull mine tails charka out. Neji preached about Naruto being a loser and never amounting to nothing, not some other thing. He had to work hard to train the nine tails power.

Does the reason matter neji and hizashi both died to protect the main family members so the hyuga elders would agree with me. The branch family can justify it to themselves as they wish to just get the job done. Naruto won using kyubi Chakra not skill or grit like in his fight with Kiba. Plus not just anybody can become hokage you all hokage come from a line of teachers and students. I challenge you to name one hokage not apart of that heritage. Personally I agree with changing your destiny but nejis story is the worst example of this

Neji quite literally did so. Hizashi had this convo with Neji about his father and again when he was an edo about how the branch and main are on more and they work together. Read the manga. Neji did this for the ppl he cared and believed in, not cause he was "forced," which is a driving theme for his own lack of will. He himself has when he did this like his father. Neji, the same man who was "forced" to have a destiny, defied it by taking it by his own hands. Naruto literally trained to use the nine tails charka. Before the chunin exams, he had jiraya train him to do this, again read the manga cause nine tails is essentially part of him. Hokage are chosen, but they need the ppl's approval to notice how ebey kage is praised by the ppl. As itachi said, being hokage isn't just the seat. You need to win the hearts of the ppl, which he did when he fought and saved them from pain. There is so much misunderstanding and oversimplification on themes.

You are the definition of someone who clearly never read the manga to understand how wrong you are. 1. Being the son of related to the kage doesn't give you any benefits. What benefits did asuma get as the SON of hiruzen? Also, I highly doubt you know what a reincarnate of indra and asura do. But if you don't, it was meant for him to kill sasuke. 2. The point is that they were "forced." The act without their own will is what was being said many times. Hinata's dad literally talked to neji about this that his father wasn't forced but chose this himself despite his opinion on the matter. He wasn't forced to end his life he did so for his brother, just like neji did so for his cousin and his friend. The fact you don't get this and diminish it goes to show you don't understand neji's character. They didn't die for the clan but for the ppl they believed in. 3. Naruto won with the power he was born with, and he trained to even use it. It wasn't spontaneous he had to learn. Neji talked about destiny and how no one can escape it. He talked about how Naruto would never beat him and would be forever a loser as he said, yet neji was trying to defy his own destiny, which he was frustrated with when Hinata and Naruto called him out. If you're going to say things, don't spread misinformation, cause it makes you look dumb and not knowledgeable.
