The way you pushed yourself through that influenza is astonishing, what fortitude. Then you go back to continue where you left off was truly amazing.

Excellent video as always Elli. Yet more stunning Scottish scenery professionally photographs. Thank you. The Scottish tourist board should use your hikes to show off their beautiful country 🏴 😉 (You produce some fantastic ‘travelogues’ of this Island). Looking forward to seeing the last section of your TGO 👍🏻🏕️

Whoop!! Job done! So pleased that you recovered and we're able to fully enjoy it 🎉 It was lovely to see the pines and gentler landscape 😊 I've never seen civilians use a red flag to indicate firing, but it makes sense. It sounded more powerful than a rifle. I guess if it's their land, they can do what they like. The sound quality is superb - just enough wind noise for effect without drowning out your voice. ❤ the New Order - Blue Monday sample

Hi Elli, newly subscribed. I think you were very wise to have a lie in & an easy morning on day 11. If you'd pushed yourself too hard, your cold could have turned into something much more long lasting. So glad you felt better & were able to enjoy the next couple of days in such amazing countryside as the Cairngorms are. Looking forward to the conclusion of your TGO challenge whilst catching up with some of your older videos. xx

Good to see you getting back to normal after your nasty bug. You certainly selected a lovely route across Scotland for the Challenge, even though in this video you had to choose some easier options, very sensibly, to allow more time to recover. It looked to me like there were a few other X-Mids at the bothy apart from yours?

Ellie, well done for getting yourself back on track. Back to the normal smiley person 😊.

I so enjoy watching your TGO videos, they bring back memories of my own crossings with my late father. And yes you really can meet the royals out fishing or just walking although you are much more likely to meet their Special Branch police bodyguards first! And as for the shooting party, the estates earn a large part of their income from these trips and many insist that hunters attend such an event to prove they can shoot straight. Nobody wants wounded animals wondering the hills and dying in agony, far better to get a clean kill. I’ve never done the Tarfside route though, so it is interesting seeing some new terrain too. And in a storm bothers beat tents every time! 😊

It's normal to shoot outside here. Often, these are organised events for tourists who want to learn to shoot. The rifles will be too powerful to use in a standard indoor range, but it will be a certified shooting range with qualified instructors, so please don't be concerned.
