This discussion reminds me of an ad targeting Senator Bob Casey, Jr. in the Philadelphia, PA area. The ad depicts a man in a basketball uniform and then a man in drag. The ad states that the senator promotes males playing on a girls basketball team. The ad then claims the senator has coerced hospitals to perform sex reassignment surgery. I’m sure some people will fall for this as. They would rather believe this as opposed to Senator Casey’s record. In September 2021, after heavy rains flooded the Schuylkill River - where many roadways were flooded - I saw Senator Casey on a walk through with area officials, to assess the damage to our area.

He says the purpose of the big lie is not just to get away with that lie but to get people to a place where they don't know who to believe. Confusing the people is not a godly thing to do to them. Clearly. 😅 There's a Bible verse for that -- Psalm 71 "In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: Let me never be put to confusion. The N. Testament also covers it, but for the sake of ecumenicism I stuck with Psalms.

In reference to lying to the press, I recommend looking at the Australian ABC and shows like the 7:30 Report and 4 Corners. Come prepared with the receipts, you know they are going to lie, so catch them in it and make them look like fools. If you do it with everyone on both sides of the aisle, you become the litmus test of whether a politician is “good enough” to be in politics. Any political news program that does this consistently will get themselves the best ratings (given that chasing ratings is why they don’t do it).
