Let me tell you what our small Jewish community is going through here in Saint John, NB, especially our kids: -- Swastikas in the washrooms -- Constant harassment of our kids, sometimes even from teachers -- My son's teacher trying to convince my (Jewish) son that whites can not experience racism, and in the same sentence claiming that Jews are white. And when my son asks her "what about my gran-grand mother who survived Auschwitz?" the teacher just disregards it, saying "it's not relevant today". -- Jewish teacher who is terrified to go to work every day, and doesn't have any support from the principal -- A teacher telling Jewish kids not to come to school because they can not "ensure their safety" -- Personal threats online, like "we know where you live, we know where you work, we are watching you" - and the police refusing to issue a restraining order, claiming they don't know who these people are, although a simple search on social media can give all the answers (they are not even hiding). -- Physical violence in schools (like the Jewish girl being beaten in school in Fredericton). I'm sure there's much more, it's just what I know and experience. And I'm sure it's all around Canada. It came to the point that the members of our community who immigrated from Israel were seriously considering going back, even though the war there wasn't over. I would never ever believe that it will come to that - it's a disgrace to Canada and to every common sense Canadian.

A little history lesson: In 1948, the Arabs nations who surrounded Israel were the bad guys trying to put an end to the fledgling Jewish nation that legally had just been recognized by the League of Nations (The United Nations today) as a nation once again. Their efforts failed to eradicate the Jews in spite of all their military conquest. So from 1964-1967, Yasser Arafat paid a New York marketing firm to change that image of the Arab Nations being the evil and powerful Goliath and Israel like the much smaller shepherd boy David. The firm gave the name of Palestinians to the displaced Jordanians living in the area for the first time and started to portray Israel as the Goliath in the situation and that the Palestinians as the ones being oppressed and it worked. By the way, in 1948, even though the League of Nations had legally given the whole territory to Israel, the Jordanians invaded their territory and it has since been known as the West Bank and they are the ones who are the occupiers and not Israel in the region. Palestinian Islamists try to portray themselves as the victims and their religion has taught them to hate the Jews as well as Christians, first Saturday then Sunday is their motto so they will not rest until Israel is totally destroyed - this is the genocide that they are aiming to accomplish. So enough of the false propaganda against the Jewish nation and Jews worldwide. The fact that Jews need to respond to protect their people from the atrocities committed against them by barbarian Islamists is a no-brainer and sadly in spite of Israel’s best efforts to warn the civilian population to flee the area, there will be even more civilian loss since Hamas had entrenched itself among the civilian population and has often stopped civilians from leaving the area of warfare. Israel has wanted to live in peace with their neighbours and gave up the Gaza Strip to the so-called Palestinians but it was in vain but Islamist Hamas doesn’t want peace with Jews. Lastly, the Islamic massacre of innocent Jews particularly women and children on October 7th, happened during a cease fire that had lasted for quite some time but the Islamists used that cease fire to attack when they were ready. Barbarian Islamists can’t be trusted and must be eradicated for the protection of the Jewish people so that the atrocities of October 7th will never to be repeated. This is what we know to be systemic racism and it needs to stop. The IDF soldiers are still trying to rescue the Jewish captives from the barbarian terrorists but Israel has sadly been abandoned at the UN by the treacherous Biden Admin.

Ms. Lyons comes across as extremely sincere in her wanting to fix the problems with the proper definition and explanation of what constitutes hate speech and racism. Ms. Lantsman is also correct that if the definitions being used do demonstrate racism as they seem have been referenced from texts that have been written from a very anti-white viewpoint and are quite racist themselves. Ms. Lyons seems to be aware of this problem and is very serious that is very complex issue and it take some time to root out all the confusion. So many books are written from an extremely narrow minded, biased viewpoint that need to be winnowed out to find the genuinely helpful reference material before they should begin to build the training they want to use.
