I played through the game (I 'borrowed' it so I'm not part of that statistic), still enjoyed it a lot. I think the hubbub about all the glitches and clips going around probably helped the game rather than hurt it honestly, you got a lot more eyes on the game than you would have normally.

@@yiraw Im sorry but nothing ever hurts pokemon. If a pokemon game comes out everyone that is a pokemon fan will buy it. Let me say that after playing it the base game concepts are good but frame drops every 30 seconds and visuals that look on par with old gta games is unacceptable. The switch gave us xenoblade 2 and 3 and breath of the wild. Pokemon is the most succesful entertainment property that exists and yet gamefreak refuse to put any of that money into icreasing the size of their miniscle team to match their ambition, prefering to hire contract workers and then not renue their contract having to teach a whole new group of people how they make their game for the next release. Gamefreak is an issue. They have said that they dont plan on fixing the frame rate issues as well, I assume prefering to work on the myriad of DLC options to bring back pokemon they refuse to include in the base game. Trust me Pokemon has made a loyal group of people that are ok dealing with absolutly unacceptable games on the level of cyberpunks release and still give it a game of the year nominee. Pokemon will never change and the fans are the reason why.

So glad to hear Darktide is great! FatShark had a lot of issues with Vermintide 1 and 2 so I expected them to be a bit off with this one for the the first 6 months. They're a smaller dev and they listen to their community. It's a shame management and or investors force them to release prematurely. EDIT: got the game today and it crashes at the ladder in the tutorial every time regardless of settings I use. I'm very sad, I probably wont be playing it until the new year.

There's a lot of fun to be had with Darktide in it's current Beta state (can't say how much changes by tomorrow). But yeah... you have to be willing to accept some jank. Otherwise the core of the game is extremely solid.

This is something most people aren't considering... what happens to ABK if the acquisition is blocked and MS is forced to walk away. And yeah, expect stock prices & shares to massive drop in value... which will in turn, lead to layoffs and even perhaps new executive leadership. (who in turn, will probably double & triple down on what makes ABK the most money: live-service games, online mmos, COD and microtransactions. So basically, we won't get anything outta ABK except for more COD, Warzone, WOW, Overwatch, mobile games and a truckload of monetizing schemes for all games involved) And its not even unrealistic to expect that ABK might end up breaking itself apart and selling off IPs and studios, piece-meal. (so watch the feeding frenzy commence between Embracer, Tencent, EA, Ubisoft, Sony & Microsoft)

I’m very excited for Darktide, been toiling in the beta, but hoping they improve optimization (seems like it’s somehow better optimized on my older hardware so hasn’t been a big issue for me) and also fix the plethora of server and connection issues that really made my experience in the beta pretty poor. The underlying game, when it works, is a lot of fun. On top of the playability improvements, there are definitely some things they could change around in terms of progression, but I don’t think this stuff needs to be immediately implemented considering the more core issues at the moment.

No, I think Bobby will be infuriated... the Microsoft deal was the one thing saving his career, and he would be robbed of the biggest pay day in his life. He will take it out on Sony if the deal falls through. There is NOTHING, and I mean nothing stopping Activision from pulling their games away from Sony and signing a Game Pass deal if the acquisition falls through.

Other than the handful of crashes after the week one beta patch my performance in Darktide has been rock solid. I have an Ryzen 9 3950X with a 3080 TI, so take that however you will. I will say that DLSS seems almost mandatory for high frame rates (and Ultra Performance mode is buggy, use Performance).

Just watched Raycevik, Kacey, and ItsPatyMan play NFS: Unbound together for about 3-1/2 hours thanks to EA's early access thing, and they were very favorable to it. Basically summed it up as: if you liked NFS: Heat, you'll like Unbound. It does what Heat did but made plenty of noticable improvements, along with the addition of its optional artstyle overlay that brings some much needed visual variety to the series. Only one of them suffered any major problems, and it seemed to be a one-off issue with that person's machine that they rectified with a restart. They had a lot of fun playing online together, seemed to enjoy character customization, were really happy with the vehicle selection as well as vehicle customization, and all agreed that the online game modes were much improved from Heat. They haven't released official reviews yet, but from their comments while playing, it seems that NFS fans should have something to look forward to, so long as they enjoyed Heat.

Regarding Darktide: I can pretty much agree with SkillUp, I have around 20 hours of it as well. Combat, weapons, sounds, ragdoll effects (YES!), enemies, graphics, immersion, soundtrack... it's all amazing, the base of the game is fully solid. But it needs a lot more polish. Stability, frame rate, loading times, etc are just the beginning. There are a lot of comfort features they should add as well. But I'm really optimistic that this game will become greater with each patch. It's extremely fun, especially with friends. Now... if they added a story/campaign... it would probably become perfect!
