What Alanah was saying about games providing that solace during those difficult times, especially times of loss, couldn’t be more accurate for me. Lost my dad, my best friend whom I was raised with my whole life, and had engagement broken off all within a couple months span. Back in 2021. If it weren’t for games and herb I wouldn’t be here.

Man i cant agree with you more. Nier automata is definitely one of the best games i have ever played, simply because of how good the story is and how our emotions are triggered throughout the game. Stellar Blade on the other hand, excels in combat, much much better than Nier, however, the story... is simply meh and I experienced 0 emotional triggered during my play through.... I really really love the combat of it, and really hoping the studio can make another one with better story arch!

i actually believe that xbox is pivoting hard into the streaming/cloud space and abandoning (slowly) the hardware front. right now sony/ps has little to no presence in the cloud space, and i think xbox is trying to beat them to the punch and be on every mobile device via gamepass before sony even starts looking in this direction. i assume they believe the returns on competing in the hardware front and exclusives atp is low returns, but locking down the cloud front so that they can hold an advantage for future returns. i am high af rn idk if im even making sense

Lucy I had no idea you struggled with depression and anxiety. I have had mdd or bipolar or some such shit for decades and it’s so frustrating. It’s always nice to hear a celebrity (yeah, that’s what u are!) talk about it and I teared up a little when you said “it’s not your fault but it is your responsibility.” I have been living for months not speaking to anyone at all except for my patients (hence me vomiting my life story here kind of pitifully). they did a great job with this dlc but it has major flaw. rng. if i happen get bad rng on fabrication plans for certain traumas i have to play with sound completely off or i cant run/sprint/jump for entire playthoughs(20+ hr of gameplay). this is a massive oversight. there should be a mechanic where you can spend a important resource(neuomods mabye) to get unlearnt rng plans. would give this game 7/10 because it can be unplayable depending on rng or 10/10 if it was designed a little bit better.

I just finished the main game one night ago and completed the DLCs today and I could not agree with this review more. I forged such a loving bond with the bros in my crew, but was left absolutely thirsty for a full-fledged experience for them all. When I first arrived to Altissia, I left all my side quests behind thinking, "I can just return to these later", next thing you know, Noctis is 30 years old and I'm like "That was fun, but what the fuck? Does the world return to its former state? My car's busted, do I get to return and get all of these done? Is the scruff on my face permanent?" only to learn through a Google search that I needed to use Umbra to return to the past and acquire levels and items [why can my shiba make me time travel? Makes NO SENSE], to use in the present. I had a BLAST with the game and thought the combat was fucking amazing, especially after I learned my bros had their own separate abilities when controlled who were DEVASTATING in combat, especially Prompto and Ignis, but by the time I learned this, I had progressed up to the point right after beating Cerberus [which was SUPER difficult at my level, which was around 50, but REALLY fun]. This had the potential to be the best Final Fantasy I've ever played since I was an 11-year old discovering VII for the first time, and I never rank games badly, including this one, but I can see why it receives the hate it does. I forged such a strong bond with the crew, all except Noctis, until the endgame, when he literally had to sacrifice to save the world. With all of this said, it's still one of my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time - it's such a fun experience, but if you're not min-maxing the experience, which is entirely unnecessary, there's little to no reason to care about enemy elements, stats, Omega, or any side content.

My heart breaks for those 6 people on steam deck.

You guys basically stare blankly and just ask your next question. Come on, guys. Almost every interview has had this kind of embarrassing behavior at various points. Surely you guys are capable of matching the interviewee’s energy and intelligence! 🤔🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

I regret playing it tbh. There's clearly an idea here, but games like this should not be releasing in Early Access with barely any of the actual content done. Only 4 real story bosses, and all of it propped up by time consuming fluff. Imagine if Elden Ring did this and all you could do is Limgrave for 6 months. It's just kinda tedious. Wish I'd have waited till its 1.0.

Cabel answers a question with verve and you three (and not just at this time stamp) you don’t say a word, you don’t have a response or something to add to keep the conversation going like I would have, as Cabel stares at your blank faces waiting for some kind of intelligent, passionate, or energetic response. Good lord people. A bit embarrassing as a fan of this podcast. You three are honestly great interviewers at times, and rather sleepy at others.

Playdate is a great little machine, Ive had one for a month, take it with me everywhere, play it every day. Bus, train, coffee shop, pub. The games are perfect for being on the move, the battery lasts days. I have never taken the Steam Deck anywhere.
