Pettersson looked really good playing with Hronek!!! Their chemistry was good, they made plays, and even got a few goals! Hronek’s shot is still incredible, I’d love to see him participate in the hardest shot competition at All Stars one day. (My observations are based on the Friday & Saturday training sessions)

It’s training camp. There are no lines: just coaches trying different combinations to see what players can do with different roles and in different situations. In October we will see the real lines.

When you’re saying “I’m begging the Canucks to stop trying to sell jerseys” by calling up Bains, you’re obviously implying that they are trying to sell jerseys to the Indian community. Do you think Rutherford and Allvin are the type of coach to consider ethnicity and skin colour when they call someone up? No. And if Aquaman even tried to put pressure on Jim Rutherford, the President would tell him to kick rocks. Bains wasn’t called up at random, he earned it with his play. It was a tough adjustment for him, but he got a taste of what it takes to take the next step.

"Legitimate expectations for this team to push for a Stanley Cup"? What, from Who? (I mean Who, that is an experienced expert in the hockey World?) The team is starting without Joshua, Blueger, and Demko out for a while. Not to mention the marquee players that got replaced with more affordable alternatives. When the conversation about the team runs like this, and includes 4th line players 'Needing to show something', you aren't talking about a Contender. You are talking about a team that would be a pleasant surprise if they matched last season's regular season record, and playoff performance. I don't understand who so many armchair pundits think that they can field a lesser talented roster, and have greater results. Cheer for the team we have, enjoy the games, and don't start trash talking in social media if/when the team 'Only' performs up to the level of their combined talent.

How was he trash talking? He was literally stating that the Canucks have bumped up the standards to push for higher levels this upcoming season which is what Patrik Allvin said himself. That's not trash talking, that's just listing the facts.

@@mrcool81_ - Read my post again. I was not specifically referring to "The Blueline Hockey" Trash Talking. I was referring to the expected trash talking from the army of social media pundits, IF the team performs at a level lower than last season. And what do you expect the head coach to say , when they are trying to sell tickets and facing More adversity that last year? "We're hoping to do as well as we did last season" doesn't make a great banner.
