At Florence, the Greeks argued as gallantly as they could, but Bessarion and Isidore were compelled to admit that if Latin and Greek doctors were inspired by the same spirit, the Filioque had to be reconcilable with Greek doctrine. Primary accounts (Syropoulos, Greek Acts of Florence) confirm that Patriarch Joseph II decided days before his death to accept the Union for this reason as well.

Against Eunomius from St. Basil in it's authentic version has only 3 books though, the 4th and the 5th aren't authentic

Possibly wasn’t written by St. Basil (I’m not convinced either way, but I lean towards it’s authenticity…there’s a good article on this in German on this that I can dig up if you’re super invested in the question). The reason I still use it is, 1. It’s early Byzantine use (e.g., was used during the time of Justinian), and 2. The later use of it during the Byzantine period (e.g., was used by Palamas quite heavily). Whether it came from the pen of Basil or was appended is irrelevant to its authority, which has always been recognized east and west.

Fr Joseph Gill, The Council of Florence, offers an account of the epic Filioque debate based primarily on the Greek Acts (which he also edited) and the anti-unionist Syropoulos.

I’d also read Ybarra’s book, Crean’s book coming out (vindicated Filioque or something like that), and Siecienski (Ortho but presents both).

Is anybody looked at why Photius was not actually restored (really can one convene a council and lead it to restore oneself? - does that really need an explanation for why he was never actually restored?)

You mention the Ancoratus which contained the creed Constantinople used. So the creed must be compatible with Filioque.
