If I’ve learned one thing in this world, it’s that the guitarists for big pop acts are pretty much always world-class musicians and shredders, and Justin is no different

Hell, Pete played for TOM JONES! And the late great Taylor Hawkins was playing drum for ALANI MORISETTE before leaving for the Foo Fighters! If you're a 'pro' you should be able to kick ass in ANY style, and POP PAYSW! ;)

I was lucky enough to be able to arrange a couple of Skype lessons with Justin back in 2020. Such a nice and accommodating guy - took me through some of the licks I particularly loved from some of the live P!nk performances, and was kind enough to put a couple of intervalic licks together that I was loving. The whole thing blew my mind and made me realise how little I could do and how little I knew. So it made me buckle down and I'm 18 months into weekly lessons with a mega teacher here in the UK. And oh yeah the Boss OD-3 came up as "the best pedal i the world!" - so I bought one the next day :D!! Wonderful player and nicest guy in the world.

Inherited a ticket to Pink, wasn't super fussed...one of the best gigs I have ever been to ( during her record run in Sydney....just kept selling out show after show) ...went home and googled the guitarist because he was so awesome....been a huge fan ever since....such a versatile guitarist....maybe the most versatile guitarist out there.

I'm from Pink's neck of the woods of Pennsylvania and a huge Justin Derrico fan. He is in my top 5 favorite guitar players . The guy can play any genre . No one trick pony here people. He's just insanely talented. One of my dreams is to meet Pink and Justin. Look into Justin's music even before joining Pink. He was in a band called The Calling with Alex Band. He's one of the guys keeping this style of playing at the forefront of guitar playing,so Thanks for that Justin. Hope to meet you sometime. I've met and hung with most of my guitar heroes , so just a few bucket list ones left and you're one of them.

Hey- did he just say he played with Shenandoah? My first cousins Jimy and his brother Jack played with that band. Jack was a fiddle player who only sat in from time to time- he committed suicide several years back. He was an alcoholic and couldn't get clean and stay that way- but he was musical genius- literally. He scored all the music for the Illinois state orchestra- for each individual instrument. He wrote stuff that will blow your mind- I have his demo cds- mostly classical stuff but, also jazz, blues, and bluegrass/country. We miss Jack terribly. HIs brother Jim- who played lead guitar for the band- is still with us- lives in Muscle Shoals now and at one time owned Fame recording studios- I think he still does. Jim just wrote a book called "That's What I Thought." It's kind of an odd book, hard to explain- basically it's just Jim's thoughts on things that took place in his life. But he's led a very interesting life- it's a good read. Tbh I don't like country music, so I never kept up with the band like I should've. I know they had a couple gold records, maybe 3- were very successful- and got robbed by their management. Jim was left with not much at all when it was said and done. But I had no idea this guy ever played with them.
