Dan Patlansky is easily the most underrated guitar player in the world!

This is so overdue. Dan is an incredible player and not enough people are paying attention. Watched a post by Dan about lowering his pickups as low as possible to get great tone and it worked like a champ. I really recommend it. Cheers.

Sell your music and give free samples to radio stations, they will pay more attention. I’ve never heard about him except on youtube🤷🏻♂️ at some point I know some artists don’t really enjoy playin’ the same things again and again when you know how to improvise and everything. The thing is most of popular music just stick into your head because it’s too simple and repetitive sound patterns that are tastely chose for that and only that puspose, to sell. 🤷🏻♂️ try to play the fastest and most complicated song of Steevie Ray Vaughan on the radio and see how many people will really hear it or if for 89/100 people it will just be considered as noisy and irritating🤷🏻♂️ that’s modern world. Simple and efficiency. That being said, he is a great guitar player and I know nothing about him, I just answered your affirmation and that doesn’t concern him I don’t even know what he have done yet

@@alexnosheds Are you referring to low-output pickups or low pickup height?
@alexnosheds6 жыл бұрын
gdawgs101 ideally both but if you can only do one thing, try lowering yours down quite a bit, it helps give it that “starved” sound. The magnets won’t be as heavily saturated with bass. There’s an interview with Dan somewhere where he talks about his gear and pickup setup, worth searching for here on YT

Proudly South African! It is always 'lekker' to see when a truly deserving great guy from the tip of Africa gets recognized in other parts of the world I love how down to earth he also is. My wife used to manage a little theater and he played there a couple of times - the one thing (apart from his obvious 'next level' skill) that she commented on was how easy going and humble he is. Dan - you are a very good ambassador for South Africa. Keep on shining, boet. You deserve moerse success !
