I think you overlooked one tiny detail, Pierro and Dainslif are wearing half masks because parts of them could be deteriorating or rotting. Another thing is what Dainslif said about his camarade Hafdan when he was wondering how did he manage to keep his memories and remain himself for 500 years ago without... "It" That thing could be what made Dainslif able to suppress and slowdown the effect of the curse and the same could be told about Pierro and Albrecht. I'm starting to realize that the fatui could be the good guys, but because of what they know about the history of the old world no one would believe them, so they have sometimes to work behind the scenes.

Well dottore is definitely a bad guy same for Senora, but what I mean the Tsaritsa's plan is for a good reason, but harbingers are not completely bound by her authority, you could say they're helping each kinda thing, and their relationship is very flexible, Dottore took part with the fatui plan only to go further in his research and experimenting, he's seeking knowledge, Seniora most likely was after vengeance (no wonder she's low ranked) But anyway, their plan in my opinion does seem positive and good, but the personal agendas of the harbingers is bit fishy.

@@xX_N_E_O_Xx Not that simple if they plan to change history what they do in this timeline wont matter, and I am sure Dottore and the Fatui's goal is to reclaim the old world in this analogy the Garden of Eden. They are basically putting all bets on being able to change fate and if they don't they die as monsters anyway but if they succeed they become undying heroes for humanity. However if you were a race that was enslaved by aliens and nobody knew, would you feel it as your duty to fight or would you go along and live your "happy" life. Dottore wants an insurance that nothing like that can happen to him ever again, and he is not content with changing fate he wants to become stronger personally so when judgement day comes he will count as the "stronger" race. This is were it becomes complicated because it seems like this has already happened because of the Neo-humans the Abyss heralds so the future of the game exist within the present timeline. To drag this analogy further Enjou could be Dottore in the future they share a lot of common traits he greedily searched out knowledge until he became a fraction of his former self and is still searching for "knowledge" about the beyond. The most important thing to realise is that the timeline is not linear in Teyvat it's a cycle and it doesn't reset so whatever happened in the "past" journey stays. Apep refers to this as "status-quo" and is finally able to find peace within the dream but the Fatui are delusional and still try to fight heavens judgement over them. This is very similar to a modern interpretation of Hell.

Crack theory. Kaeya is a Segment Dottore made of Capitano in his youth. He was brought to Mondstadt as a child and left there as a failsafe. Kaeya will eventually become perfect, as strong as Capitano in his prime with abyssal power on top, but with none of the drawbacks associated, hence him being the "final hope" for Khaenri'ah. If Capitano dies in Natlan, perhaps something will be left of him that we can bring back to Kaeya, maybe to transfer Capitano's memories, not unlike a certain character in FFXIV. With those memories. Kaeya might be able to unlock his full potential but then has to finally make a choice between continuing to stay in Mondstadt living his lie of a life, or stepping in formally as the new Capitano to ultimately deal with Celestia and the Abyss alongside the Fatui and the Traveler when they get to Snezhnaya.

It took me way too long to make the connection that the two soldiers we see in the shadowpin questline were part of Capitanos original squad and having also the same mindset we see from the current Fatui under him, helping however their duty allows them to and the refusal to be remembered as heroes, it's all a reflection of the guilt Capitano carries with himself. 😢

Maybe the reason why Tsaritsa and the Harbingers are collecting the Gnoses is because they want to use the cleansing power of a Descender to heal someone from Abyssal corruption. (I personally think it's the Tsaritsa's child, but I also think Pierro wants to use the Gnoses to heal the Khaenri'ahns and kill every god in Teyvat. Following Russian history, Pierro's basically Rasputin convincing the Tsarina that he can heal her child's illness when he actually has ulterior motives)

Maybe he’s Kaeya’s grandfather, he was pretty legendary from what we heard from Kaeya. 🤷‍♂️, we ended up finding the “harbinger of dawn”sword and Capitano is a “Harbinger” linked with the Night/Dawn kingdom . Plus his cryo sword looks like a very enhanced version of the harbinger of dawn and cold steel swords

I think it is very likely that Capitano has the soul of Xbalanque inside him. So why Xbalanque because when Mauvika pierces him something is burning inside of him and that is very unusual for a cryo character would u not say., and I think the game is hinting towards that. The archon quest mentions this TWO times. Once Mauvika says "I thought I heard something familliar" And than again Capitano says loud "you heard something back there didn't you" with a kind of stern voice, almost like he is trying to hide it. When Ororon is trying to pry out of him who he is, he also is dismissive towards him. It explains why he challenged Mauvika why he says that the rules of Natlan needs to be changed, because Xbalanque was responsible for the path Natlan is on and probably feel responsible and worried about the outcome. He came to Natlan to fullfill his oath to Xbalanque and Ronova however he is also a Fatui so there is a bit of a dual ownership of the body going on. He seems to calm down after Mauvika handles the crisis with grace. I also think it is very likely that Capitanos own soul exist within the Night Kingdom and will only be retrieved until the end of the archon quest. This is a neat form of storytelling were it explains why he is so committed to Natlan, it also gives him a future in the game and a closure to Xbalanques sin that was committed 500 years ago similar to Egeria for defying the Heavenly Principles. If we get another pyro sovereign is a bit of a speculation. I have a crazy theory that Durin is supposed to be the Pyro Sovereign he fled to Dragonspine but you can see that his heart exudes enormous amounts of heat. We akready know that Orobashi fled to Enkanomiya from Liyue so many ancient gods ended up in different places than they are supposed to be. The sovereign of flames sleeps on a mountain cursed with an ever ending winterstorm waiting to be awaken by it's mother, the creator of life itself Rhinedottir Coincidentally it is rumoured that we are getting a Dragonspine patch in the middle of Natlan, interesting. @@TheGamerChronicles999 Think that key to the mystery Capitano personality could be Citlaly: . 1)Capitano have very strong tights with Masters of the Night Wind - to the point where he lern their magic on very high lvl (as Ororon mention - he casually used very hard technic that usually require special ritual). From the start he seek Citlaly to aid his goal. Citlaly is strong opponent by herself and i doubt that Capitano plan to force her do what he need. More likely he had some argument to deal with her so she would help voluntarily. Also Capitano said that he defend Natlan for a long period of time = he could met young Citlaly. The way he ask Ororon about his connection with her sound kinda personal . 2)On Citlaly side - we know that Masters of the Night Wind can see people sould = the fact that Captain lost his appearance does not matter for her - she still could recognise him. But here is a catch - Captain and Citlaly never meet each other in one scene. They always were separated from each other by different circumstances . We also have mystery - about what exactly make Citlaly so unic?! I mean long lifespan (from what source? Furina for example was cursed by archon), limitless potential to lern different technics ... also her eyes does not look normal....Could be a connection here?

It’s likely capitano during his prime surpasses even mavuika, the English VA for capitano said we are in something big for capitano in the future patches, so who knows what kinda power he will be packing to face this final foe. This final enemy is more than likely a being superior to archons or stronger than them, perhaps capitano will get his second form later in the natlan story quest. ​@@TheGamerChronicles999 My current hope is on shenanigans where we end up having to carry whomever is dying by using renovas power into the Sacred Flame (also I have a theory that we may have help from istaroth to achieve this and that Ei's Story quest might be foreshadowing for the end of Natlan (memories leaking out of the Sacred Sakura= Souls Leaking out of the Night kingdom as one example) Also us Getting Pyro by literally Carrying a dying Mauvika and Capitano into the Sacred Flame through time travel is just such a Cool Scene Concept I can't help but want it to happen (Specifically I think Mauvika already harnessed the power to make the Ode of resurrection apply to all Natlan for a short duration and also gave her the power to drive the abyss back so if Capitano through his request to the lord of night (which I think is a request to hold a final Pilgrimage so he can try and join the final battle/more importantly Claim the Pyro Gnosis which I believe he will successfully achieve and we will try to stop him but lose similar to arlecchino, we all end up in the final fight with the abyss for Natlan But both of their times begin running out and Capitano's is much Faster then Mauvika's because his body was already heavily Decayed. Also I Imagine this Death will Break Capitano's Curse of Immortality and Give him a new Design to be playable even though I love his armour design (mostly because I don't think his helmet will survive being made playable(his face not being Visible) We win, we Broke deaths rules because the result was determined but the method and aftermath weren't, and We Saved Capitano and Mauvika

I'm having the same thoughts but I think it will be for a different reason. (Mauvika already used the shade of death's power to temporarily change the ode of resurrection so her death is set in stone but it's location and means are not) The captain I believe is getting the lord of night to force a final Pilgrimage so he can fight his way into the final battle and more specifically Claim the Pyro Gnosis/archons seat, I believe this will be an overwhelming success even though we try to fight him he will become pyro Archon but Mauvika will still Join the final battle to see this through to the end since she knows her death is already coming due to using the power of death. I think we will win the battle but both of them will begin dying and that potentially istaroth will intervene(paimon revealing she's istaroth maybe??) and we end up 500 years in the past and have to carry Mauvika and the Captain into the Sacred Flame. Also this would be such a cool way to get the power of pyro. The captain and Mauvika are carried out of the sacred flame in the present as we've one and they're reborn in the present. And the Captain due to now being Healthy again without the curse of Resurrection gives us his Mask and potentially bows In respect for us saving both when he would have prioritised differently.

I think you misunderstood Mavuika's dialogue, she says "we're evenly matched" as present tense, and "If we face again, victory will come down to whoever wants it more" as near future tense, so unless it's a huge mistranslation, Capitano is CURRENTLY as strong as Mavuika and was almost certainly considerably stronger than her in his prime. but I doubt it's a mistranslation because in the ES translation (which tends to be much closer to the source material than the EN one) the same thing is implied, and apart from that it has an interesting/weird difference respect to the EN one which is: Mavuika instead of saying "If we face again..." says "If we had continued fighting..." implying that even though Capitano was wounded if Ororon hadn't interrupted them the fight was still anyone's game, which I admit is quite weird since in act 3 it was said no less than 100 times that Capitano would have died if Ororon hadn't intervened, but at the same time it makes sense since if Mavuika was saying something like "it was a draw" it makes sense that right after that Capitano admitted defeat because "My goal was the Gnosis, and I failed to obtain it" but not because he lost the fight as such

Power of a Descender. Remember how Traveler is able to cleanse or heal Abyssal corruption? Khaenri'ah was looking for Descenders, maybe because they knew what was coming. And that would also explain why the Harbingers (Pierro specifically) have a mission to collect the Gnoses. They want to use the remains of the Third Descender to heal someone. They might already have somewhat of an ability to use that power because they have so many of the Gnoses by now. Pierro and Capitano could have been using the Cryo Gnosis to soothe the curse before they started collecting them all, probably to get rid of the curse for good.

@@seth-eh4fp this is heavy speculation though. The alberich clan was nobles so it makes sense how anfortas was appointed as the King temporarily because he was a noble. Dain isn't a noble, he is the twilight sword and the captain of the royal guards. The other 5 sinners weren't appointed as the king or queen either because they weren't in khaenri'ah when the cataclysm was happening. They were in the abyss. Anfortas was in a clan that was noble and were close to irmin. The main 6 were the best of their fields. Dainsleif is probably the best of fighting since since he's the knight captain of the royal guard. I think this is also the reason why he has the name twilight sword.

I agree with the theory that Capitano will sacrifice himself in Mavuika’s place. However, I don’t think he will stay dead. The three nails represent the crucifixion of Jesus, but let’s not forget how Jesus overcame death and resurrected three days later. Along with the fact that resurrection is a key theme and gimmick in Natlan, I believe Capitano will be resurrected. He is also said to have strong ties with the nation, so it doesn’t seem like a stretch for Hoyo to do this. Also from a game perspective, Capitano is wildly popular and expected to be a playable character, so I really don’t think Hoyo is willing to kill him off. He also has lots of potential to be a key character in future Khaenri’ahn focused quests. Killing off the First of the Fatui Harbingers this early, without ever seeing his full potential from 500 years ago, would be a huge waste.

I understand what you mean, but sometimes killing off a character brings a lot more impact to the story. Stakes become higher. Natlan is hitting harder because people actually died and this time its not off screen. Someone made a compilation of the NPC's that disappear if you didnt manage to reach them in time. Vichama was one of them. They failed a bit with La Signora because she had a very tragic story and despite being very arrogant, she was very straightforward in her objectives, but we now absolutely nothing about her. I wouldnt be surprised if the Shivada Gemstone inscription was the Tsarita speaking directly to La Signora. And that would mean a possibility of ressurection. But then again, it goes against my own earlier comments (lol) of not wanting everyone to always stay alive after problems get solved. And one last thing, the Captain said death is a rule, not an outcome. Someone will perma die because Mavuika used the Shade of Death's power. Its beyond the Traveller's power to change fate. So his final foe might be his own immortality, and sacrificing himself in place of Mavuika will solve that. But im just spitballing here.Im not nearly smart enough for theories. But i do love reading about them, yours included.

In the new temporary quest there is info about Abyss. It can destroy a person memories from some point. Also I don't understand how ley lines and wayob work. So if abyss can make a new human, some monster from the abyss are human but not allowed to exist by Irminsul. This is too convoluted. Natlan has no leylines, but some time later it But all I know is that Abyss can erase a person's memories, making a new person in the process with the same body. This is irreversible, any memories backup is a false plan( whatever they claim, process is implementing memory in human. This affects soul, how souls are material in genshin?)

So it's not outside of the realm of possibility that they were able to make some stuff out of what leaked into Khaenri'ah. It would certainly explain how Ruin machines are able to function for thousands of years

Just want to correct, Mavuika did not said that they are evenly matched if she and Capitano faced off 500 years ago, she said that she will have more motivation to go out. After finishing the 5.1 Archon quest. I always wondered why Capitano keeps mentioning that he lost this battle with Mavuika the Pyro Archon. When in fact, if you look and observe closely in the 5.0 Archon Quest fighting cutscene between Capitano and Mavuika, Capitano was about to deliver an another attack but was teleported by Ororon so it was not actually a defeat. Even Mavuika says that their face off battle in the Stadium was evenly matched as mentioned in the 5.1 Archon Quest. And Mavuika even mentioned to Kinich that it was probably the best outcome that Capitano escaped because she sensed a deep unusual power from Capitano during his final blow. I came to realize that maybe Capitano was pertaining about failing to get away the gnosis from the Pyro Archon, that’s why he always mentioned that he lost. Also, Mavuika was fighting at her full form while Capitano was fighting with his base form. If you recall with all the Harbingers that we challenged so far, the Harbingers always have another 2nd form which signals their true form. So I’d say, we have yet to see Capitano’s true power that is worthy of the title, the #1 Fatui Harbinger.

My theory is about the captain is that he’s basically the representation of a genshin Jesus. The 3 nails could also represent being nailed onto the cross. There’s some theory’s that captaino could be a vessel for a bunch of khariahen souls. I have a theory that the captain will try to Sacrifice himself, specifically I think his Request with the Lord of Night is To Force One Final Pilgrimage (aka the thing Kachina fought in to get into the night Warden Wars during 5.0) in order to make a Challenge for the pyro Archons Throne and the right to participate in the Final Battle (noting joining the fight and winning the pyro Archon title are Seperate) with the Abyss which will cause the Traveler to Interfere And maybe even Beat him but I don't see that happening. Ultimately I believe he's going to either win the battle but not get the pyro Archon title or lose the battle but still Convince the pyro Archon to let him Join in the final Battle. Ultimately though it's still up to chance Another theory I have is that we may be time traveling in the near future, specifically to save the pyro Archon From their Destined death Be it Capitano or Mauvika either way I think we're going to see them begin dying from the power of the shade of Death after winning and that potentially the shade of time will intervene and take us both back like seeds into the past to carry whomever uses deaths power into the sacred flame, I also really think this would be such a cool way for us to get the pyro element by literally burning ourselves in the sacred flame and emerging in the present with a restored Mauvika And 3rd theory for this comment. The shade of death's power was already used for the grand ode of resurrection so even if the captain wins and becomes pyro Archon she won't be saved by him taking that title because she's already used the power and so both of them will be dying in the final battle and we'll have to Carry them both into the Sacred Flame to kill them and have them be reborn (specifically I believe time travel will be involved since it took Mauvika 500 years to Return so if she comes back again it will still take 500 years and also a shade of time Reveal would be such an epic scene even if we only see something like a Wing and also that's such a cool way for us to get the element of pyro and potentially becoming the pyro archon unifying the flames under our command. Also for a 4th mini theory, the Burning of irminsul will be how we End Natlan

I think the difference is that Capitano has access to something that can soothe the curse, while Dain doesn't. (It's the Gnoses. They hold the remains of a Descender, and we already know Descenders can heal Abyssal corruption.)

So by narrative even though we haven’t seen it, we have countless implications capitano will have the spotlight and he will probably bring power on the level we never seen in tevyat so far, he also has a deal with renova seemingly. Capitano still has a higher narrative ceiling than mavuika, and if you say she can use her renova, gnosis amp she needs all 6 tribes, with a ritual, then using her life as collateral to achieve a momentary state of power, That’s not even applicable in a real fight. You also can’t disregard the idea or possibility of capitano will be more powerful than we imagine as that’s just how harbingers works, they all have second phases by some unknown means, Also note according to if we use the cn text, neither of them went all out in their first bout, as neither of them wanted to endanger the people, he only said he lost because his objective was the gnosis. Mavuika stated if they were to fight again they would be evenly matched, if they were to fight again, making another narrative, if current capitano and mavuika used their full power they would be even. In the CN it’s significantly worded differently than the EN, mavuika outright said it’s hard to believe it as she thought she was fighting the pinnacle of human power. So if we go the CN, even at this point he and mavuika should be around the same level not counting the renova amp. That’s just the CN patch but it’s usually always the most accurate and cannon version. Which is why I said capitano is insane, people downplay him to be below archon level when he’s outright at the pyro archons level even now, mavuika was also clearly not talking about her weakened state as she stated in that state she’s much weaker than a god. Even if i wasn't a high-ranking official, I'd probably feel like i failed my nation when i couldn't defend it as part of its military rank. I dont think his guilt over failing his nation necessarily points to him being a person of higher status, it was his home, his friends and family depended on the strength of thei soldiers to defend them and they failed, guilt would be a natural thing to feel regardless of rank. As for the model thing, hes not THAT much bigger, and his body still easily fits within the confines of the game, but if they kill the #1 harbinger, one of the most desired characters in the game after 4 years, im sorry but that would piss me off, if he dies and they somehow tryn give us that weird gremlin ass mayor character ill fr quit.
