FILM DESCRIPTION:
Two bicyclists are run down by a strange black car in the desert near a small town in Utah. But this is just the first in a series of hit-and-run murders. Sheriff Wade Parents (James Brolin) is called in to investigate, and his deputy, Everett (John Marley), is killed by the black sedan, which, some witnesses say, has no one behind its wheel. When the car threatens a local school parade, the lives of the town's children and Wade's teacher girlfriend, Lauren (Kathleen Lloyd), are endangered.

Not sure what you mean by that but in the original theatrical version, the police car flipped down the mountain and then blew up as it gained momentum towards the bottom. Also the two police cars that got taken out, there was no explosion. The car just rolled airborne over the cars and drove off. The explosion edits look like they were added for the TV release.

There was a brief shot where you could see the one wheel break off the car. While filming the shot the car did get damaged in the barrel roll, so they used another model they had made to depict the car driving away unharmed
