I started to watch WWF/E since 1999 when I was 15. Surprised so many great wrestlers before my time

The Porsche he bought was called "The Widow Maker". It's a legend for being difficult to master.

Yep, the old 911. The rear mounted engine meant that it was pretty vulnerable to spinning out because the weight of the engine could swing the rear end out.

This man probably would have been the greatest wrestler of all time had he not been in the accident. He was no joke. He had the looks, mic skills, and incredibly off the charts athletic abilities! Such a shame. It’s been 38 years now. I remember it like it was yesterday. He’s one tough dude!

I loved NWA in the 80's. Hands of stone rRon Garvin, the Four Horseman, Dusty roads the Rock and Roll express. Great times

Talked to the guy for about 30 mins at a TNA house show in Richmond VA called Capital Punishment. Hell of a guy and blew me away that hardly anyone wanted to talk to him there. They got stuff signed sure but that was it. Everyone was more focused on talking to AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, etc.

Damn, this was way before my time, but I'm still surprised I've never heard of this guy before this video. Sad story 🫤

Had that crash not happened, he was all but guaranteed to be the next NWA World Champion. Would it of surpassed the WWF at that time? Possibly, but it's one of those great what ifs.

He admitted that he knew that road very well and that it was torrential raining throught his drive, yet he still drove in a way which was incompatible with safety, which caused his car to aquaplane, which he then made worse by immediately causing his car to crash into a pole.

In the 80’s Magnum TA was my hero. I went in the Army and while I was in training all this happened. He would have been the greatest of all time.

This exact thing happened to our good friends mom. She was on a road that she has drove a million times. That night it was pouring down and she came around a curve and hydroplaned, and hit a tree head on, killed her instantly. Tragedy, young, gorgeous, beautiful women, with an awesome husband, and 2 of the most coolest kids ever. Gone in one second.

It's interesting to see him and Nikita Koloff together on some pretty recent videos, how they continue to keep in touch with each other after all these years and how they turned Nikita into a baby face after this horrible accident.

It was tragic. He had everything talent looks was able to do great promos. Someone should do a list of those wrestlers the “could of beens” that had their great careers altered. Rick rude was another one, steve Austin…, who else

I rented my company office from this man after his career. He was extremely nice and humble to me and my family. The office use to be his grandfather's bakery, and then they built a big radio antenna on site.

I’m a paraplegic because I suffer with depression/suicidal tendencies. My last suicide attempt I took my handgun pointed towards my heart and I didn’t realize that it had a light trigger pull it went off and now I’ve been a paraplegic since 2016 when I was 24 years old. I wouldn’t wish paraplegia on anybody also I take pain meds which is even worse because im addicted to them and being in a wheelchair and sometimes going through withdrawal/ pain is worse than the gunshot

And? I'm sure the man is in constant pain and sometimes people gotta do what they gotta do to live the best life they can. While there is problem with pain pills these days and some people abuse them doesn't mean everybody should go without. He might be a miserable prick when in constant pain and taking a pain meds is his only option. A surgery doesn't necessarily mean healed with no pain

Buzz Sawyer pulled the same dirty trick on a young Mark Callaway (The Undertaker) as he did to Magnum. Specifically, he conned both into giving him thousands of dollars to get into the business, did nothing for them and left town with their money. I think you can hear more on A&E Biography WWE Legends: The Undertaker.
