Always pissed me off how in 2002 kane returns in his most agile and athletic shape ever has the crowds support 100% and they put him in the katie vick angle followed by losing to hhh FFS The 1st time he lost to HHH in 2002 he lost his big red machine aura And the 2nd time he lost to HHH in 2003 he lost his mask and whatever was left of that big red machine aura
@Erlewyn
@Erlewyn 10 ай бұрын
But in 2002, he didn't have a monster aura. He came back having lost a lot of muscle mass, fighting for the flag and doing a spinaroonie… He instantly became a joke. A popular one, sure, but a joke nonetheless. Losing his mask actually made him a monster again.
@Squeakypickles619

@@Erlewyn Wrong, in early 2002 he still had the monster aura when he came back after his injury he still was the big red machine tho despite him doing the kanearoonie keep in mind even as a huge imposing monster before returning in 2002 he was randomly made to do joking silly stuff in segments like saying suck it, or the kaneanite promo with the rock and hogan And even while he was still a huge monster towards the end of that run in early 2002 he was made to job and look inferiror against kurt angle with that being said he didnt start becoming and official "joke" until the ridiculous katie vick storyline but even after then he was still the big red machine yeah he was a different kind of monster for a few weeks after he unmaksed until he started losing and made to look inferior again in my opinion they were better off unmasking him after summerslam 2000 where taker unmasked him and kane was still built like a tank with the long badass hair it wouldve made more sense than the half shaved no eyebrowed thing we got.

Of course it's 20 years (and many chair shots to the head) apart, but maybe there were signs he's a bit cray back then already. They missed with Benoit and covered up Moolah and Snuka for decades, but some people were sidelined for being toxic.... WWE dodged a bullet with Tessa for example. This isn't listing extreme or controversial scenes but just ones that were bad taste by author's opinion. Of course when they attempted to shock quite a few stories ended up being crap.... They were throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Personally, I think snake and Jericho injuring Chyna parts were fine. Violent arcs for a violent sport... Vince kinda has an idea what's too much as shown here when cutting off Flair, or when he canceled the russian heel gimmick after MH-17.

Considering the numerous injuries that either nearly killed (early Hell in a Cell matches) or badly injured people What happened at Over the Edge The obnoxious to absolutely degrading sh** the women went through And the ridiculous level of hot potatoing all the titles went through back then I’m GLAD the Attitude Era is long gone and never want it back Your looking at rose tinted glasses with that era Especially if take into consideration most of that stuff would never have happened if both ECW hadn’t existed (since it’s a fact they copied or stole ideas from it) and WCW wasn’t kicking Vince’s arse for a few months

this is at least the 4th video someone has made mentioning how horrible it was when wcw used Scott Hall's drinking problem in a story, and they tend to not mention that wwe did it as well, with i believe Jake the snake where they poured alcohol on his face and in his mouth while he was trying to get clean, then much much more recently (like 2019 i think) did a story with Jeff Hardy about his addictions, having him fight in a bar, do a "pee test" and supposedly driving under the influence, plus more, that went for weeks. also i believe there was a story of mocking CM Punk for his sister having addictions, which is not quite as bad, but not exactly good either. but at least this one did mention that wwe also brought up Hall's issues and even played into it by Austin giving him a beer.
