It's not about him not knowing, Dundee thought they would've disabled the car's guns. They've done it before with some vehicles not having their guns or flying abilities.

@@mykeh3155 Acting if they hired bunch of talents and force them to rebadge / mashup cars and rush the work for the release date. Also GTAO now has way over 700 cars rn, in terms of quantity and quality is pretty solid, let alone the huge community on Lore Friendly mods. I guess they don't want to completly gave up on their IRL cars and money they spent lol. Beside, there're bunch of full in-depth review for GTAO vehicle's on ytb right now. They could done this better, if they actually have the time to do some testing and balancing.

@@betodo9984 I'm not acting like anything, I didn't suggest that they were doing that at all, I'm saying it clear as day that you are acting like it's easy and that people don't make really silly mistakes all the damn time. But if you want to play this dumb game, I'll give you this 1 response (a hypothetical to explain how easy it COULD be, I don't know their team or workflow) before I leave. You say 700+ cars, they need to do the tuning, camera pos editing, test all the UI elements, interactions, physics, model/texture/sound edits, check for the gimmicks and other things, etc. Lets be super generous to your argument and say they spend half an hour per car so 350 hours of work, divide that by maybe 5 devs, thats 140 cars for each dev, 70 hours of work. If we assume they are paid to do this full time, that's around 2 weeks worth of work without doing anything else. Even if we cut that down to 15 mins, that's still a weeks worth of work for each of them. I would argue that some cars take 5-15 mins where as others could take 30-120, as seen by the whole range of very talented modders that make content showing how they mod cars, so it could be much much worse... The reason I say you are acting like it's easy is because this type of work is both ridiculously boring and repetitive, whilst also being stupidly long, the kind of work that ends up with you making mistakes very easily if you get too tired or bored, or just forget, the kind of work that requires other people to check your results to make sure things are correct (which is also subject to the same issues). If they were doing this over the course of a year then it would be even more likely for them to make mistakes, repetition helps you remember things after all, spacing stuff out by days or even weeks will make building habits almost impossible, especially if tools and such change in that time. This is all ignoring the fact that only a minority of vehicles have gimmicks that need to be found, even fewer look like normal vehicles on the surface, it's highly likely that some will slip through the cracks after a long day of work. Now sure, they could pull up a database and go through just the gimmicks 1 by 1 (way better than wasting hours on youtube), but that could also face a multitude of issues, even the same ones if the work isn't made easy enough, especially if the database isn't up to date or important variables don't match in the modding resources they have (I mean seriously, some cars don't even have logical filenames/paths, some are a pain to find without spawning 1 by 1). Some of the most common issues are typos, a line of code not updating when committed, another dev overwriting your correction by accident by uploading an older file, 2 people working on the exact same job and handling it differently... Now unless you know exactly how much work they had to do, the tools they used, how many people they had working on this, how long they had to do it and how skilled they are, I would suggest you keep your stupid uneducated opinion to yourself, but hey, that's just me.

@@mykeh3155 **signed** u literally didn't have anything experience on GTA/FiveM modding and yet defending for them because you assumed that's how it work. Lemme give u bit of break down: 1: "Porting" vehicle from GTAO First thing first, there is no such a thing. As long as they are using correct version of FiveM, all they have to do is just simply enable those vehicles. Because they were already existed in the game file, with fully functioning. It's literally plug-in & play, u don't have to mess with anything. So ah oh, those hard working u imagined just simply didn't happened. 2: The work flow For the vehicle modeling i knew it was handed over to some modder, but in case of handling and data, i do believe it was done by the staff like GTAWiseGuy and etc. Whom which i if remember correctly, had some decent understanding with the game. But thing is, they were focusing on IRL cars rather than vanilla cars, but on November 3rd, policy changes for FiveM force them to switch to Vanilla. I could understand during a very short one month window, mistakes happens. But don't really understand why u reacted to it like have a PTSD, it's a quick fix they gonna do regardless. 3: Vehicle De-bug Why I'm saying it as if it was easy. Because... It's literally that easy. All u need is game itself, OpenIV, some plugs and tutorials. U can messing around by yourself in no time. Let alone with these dudes. This video showed there's a "flag" on the vehicle. what is a flag? it's a certain switch in the vehicle data, usually enable / disable vehicle certain features by changing valves (1 to 0, 0 to 1) of it. In this case, this flag give the machine guns for cars. And this car in GTAO came with the built-in machine guns, that's why this car has the flag. U don't have to scroll through the data, too. Because OpenIV works like notebook when u checking the data file, which mean u can search for the flag name and it will highlight all of them in the file. See? It's not that complicated. I know, i know. Staffs might not that nerdy to familiarizing almost everycar in the game. But like i said, they can do the search, doesn't matter was reviews or the sorted graphs on the net, it's much more efficient than just dig by yourself, period. Now, as much as i appreciate u spent the time to wrote 9 long paragraph. But also rather entertaining when i saw the angle u picked for defending. I wasn't meaning to mock the devs, I'm just pointing out the fact I saw. I don't really like to get misunderstood, so here is my respond. Maybe next time, being objective about the discussion, will ya?

The bigger Streamers on the other hand, half of em prolly started playing and stopped playing gtao well before rp came out, they might know there are cars with guns, but they aren’t gonna know all of the cars that have em. Based off this interaction and nothing else coming out with that car, safe to say no one knew about it lmao

It's the Ardent I'm pretty sure. I've had one in GTA Online forever but I never use it. It's a nice looking car to have in your garage imo, but kinda useless otherwise.

As someone who dev's on a server. With literally no background in coding.... This is saddest rookie mistake you could make.. The removal of weapons is a simple line removal from the meta files. The fact they didn't even think about the blacklisting or editing the meta is embarrassing for a server this big.

It's hardly a rookie mistake when you consider they actually want some of these cars on the server. Some devs use them to troll, sometimes they get pulled out for special events, very rarely they may even be given to specific characters. This was most likely just an oversight from them going through each car 1 by 1 to make sure they were set up correctly, probably not even testing for the weapons because it's what 1 in 50 that has some sort of gimmick and it is very easy to forget to check for such things when the last 49 didn't have 1.
