See, the problem with 'new magicians' is that they have been spoiled by amazing tutorial channels like yours. They can't learn from books, it seems. Pity, because some of my best tricks were learned from masters like John Bannon in books like Smoke & Mirrors. I hope people check out your sponsor and start learning from the greats the old fashioned way. Once you have the basic moves down, learning from books isn't that rough.

You said it yourself "Once you have the basics down..." with the advances in technology comes a better way of distributing training content. Books are great if you already know the "move". Learning the basics from a book is a bad idea, you need a tutor. Hal Leonard may try to convince you otherwise, you can't learn to play guitar from a book. Same with magic. We just moved the tutor from a classroom to your screen (although a tutor would still be better, until they invent the tech where the avatar on screen can correct your mistakes). Why torture yourself with books for the basics? Technology has progressed, so should we.

Thank you! I do agree to an extent, but I also don’t see anything wrong with visual learning. I think it just comes down to preference and learning style. I find it easier to learn from video than books even though I’ve been doing it for a while now. But I enjoy the struggle from learning from books once in a while haha!

@@theranas9143 kind of rude to think I'm just lying to you. The cards that I use here are made from a paper stock and they have a laminate on top. If you'd like you can research it on the USPCC website

@@theranas9143most magicians don’t use plastic cards, as most plastic cards aren’t as easily manipulated. Paper cards normally don’t become “worthless” after just a few days unless you are doing other things with them, like using them as throwing cards.
