@@AI-go7vg Hiya! Do you have any reference resources that states this - I've been trying to find reputable resources but can't seem to find one anywhere :)

My sister recommended this and she told me this was what helped her pass her pre reg, and to be honest you make it so much easier to learn CVS.

Hi i like your videos as they are straightforward and to the point. I would like to ask do you check your old videos like this one to make sure that the information is still in date and accurate as i would like to use these to revise for my pre reg exam. And if there is a change to guidelines would you consider making new up to date videos on these topics?
@SureenaSpeaks3 жыл бұрын
Hiya! So glad you like the videos! :) Updates are made as newer videos (check out my playlists - particularly respiratory related ones where asthma guidelines have changed in the last few years) I always recommend that the videos are used as a summary and in addition to going through each of the chapters of the BNF yourself :)

Hiya! Thank you for your feedback! I'd always recommend that you go through the BNF and create your own notes too and supplement it with the videos - the videos have been created as summaries :) Happy Revisings! :)

@ 32:42 I believe u meant for acute ischaemic attack not TIA accord to BNF. For TIA treatment is aspirin.

Hey Sureena. I'm studying for my medical finals. What do you do in patients with stage one hypertension but no end organ damage or pre-existing disease and is over 40 years of age? Is it just lifestyle advice?

Thank you :) this is really sad, but I download the recordings onto my phone and listen to them on my long car journeys lol. Please keep up the good work and I have liked the fb page to keep up to date. Just an idea could you do a couple of extensive videos on the MEP and law side of things?

Love ur videos 💗Do we need to know doses for enoxaparin and the other Iv anticoagulants or just for the oral for the exam ?
@SureenaSpeaks6 жыл бұрын
shireen huq hiya! for the exam you wouldn't really be expected to know the specific doses. In the case of warfarin for example, you would be expected to know what target INRs are associated with different conditions (e.g. atrial fibrillation). But they may ask you a question on dosing where you have to use the SPC or BNF to answer the question so be familiar with both on where to find specific answers :) remember the exam isn't testing your memory it's testing your application of knowledge :)

sureena thank you for these vedios really helpful :) plus do a summary vedio on the MEP stuff we really need to be aware off and OTC topics. Do we need to cover drug tarriff?
@SureenaSpeaks7 жыл бұрын
No problems an MEP video is coming your way soon ;) Have a look at my video entitled Other Topics where I talk about some of the ways to best learn OTC topics. Hmm drug tariff I'd say be familiar with and aware of but really and truly don't stress on it tooo much :)

Did you read the whole bnf before the exam ?
@SureenaSpeaks6 жыл бұрын
Hiya, yep I made notes on each section of the BNF and went over those notes several times :)
@mrorange3307 жыл бұрын
What else do we need to study besides the BNF, MEP, and drug tariff? also, where did you get to know those extra clinical staff for example amiloride will cause urine to turn blue that kind of thing ? Is not wriiten in the BnF. I haven't started attending my monthly study days yet so really don't know what to expect. The only thing I am doing now is go through your videos and BNF to make notes, don't know if that is sufficient.
@SureenaSpeaks7 жыл бұрын
mrorange330 hiya! Sorry if you check the description box underneath the video I mentioned I made an error - I should have said triamterene not amiloride :) and if you check some of my later videos I mention in there what else you need to know (for example the videos entitled How To Revise, Low Weighted and Medium Weighted). Best way to start off revising is exactly how you're doing going through the BNF chapter by chapter and later doing questions on each section to test your knowledge :)
