One of the worst trades ever made was sending Clark, Sylvain Lefebvre, Landon Wilson, and the 22nd overall pick in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft to the Nordiques. In return, they got Sundin, Garth Butcher, Todd Wariner, and the 10th overall pick in the draft. Prior to the trade the Leafs had made it to the third round twice in a row. After the trade they didn't win another round for 5 years. Garth Butcher gave the Leafs a year then retired while S. Lafavre went on to win a Cup and has continually been involved in Hockey. They were tough to play against. A few tweeks and they would have been contenders. A big trade was not needed.
