I'm visiting barbados soon. No doubt this will help prepare me to enjoy my visit with a bit of cultural information to frame my experience. I'm only staying for a day and fear most of my experience will be a touristy one, which makes me appreciate this more. Thanks!

I have always been fascinated about the history of the Caribs. Sadly, very little is taught about Carib culture and traditions in Puerto Rico, as there are almost no books about them in Spanish. One of those rare exceptions was a Spanish translation of an Anthology of the French chroniclers of the Caribs. It is still one of the most memorable books I have ever read. I have been trying ever since to know as much as I can about them and try to teach about them in my classes. However, I it is very difficult to find reliable information about Caribs on the Internet. Not only it is scarce, but it is seldom trustworthy. So it is with great joy that I congratulate you for your efforts. I have enjoyed a lot this brief animation about the culture and traditions of the Carib people and wish you all the best. It is a great tool for knowledge and dissemination. Keep it up!
