Swede here! For me swedish is a langauge made for singing. It's easier to sing in swedish since everything flows a lot better. When we speak we have a lot more tones than english witch is more flat, it's more melodic. I think this is one of the reasons that makes it such a good language for singing. Another reason is that we combine words a lot more. This also makes it flow nicer when sung.

There is more than that; "as we forgive our debtors. 13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." Jack - Oh! Sorry, I thought you had like a starting point from where to begin, but alright. Quite frankly, there is far too many things about Roman Catholicism for me to list, but I'll name some of the main issues in terms of doctrine that are completely anti-biblical: - The entire concept of the Vatican Papacy and the Pope himself have no scriptural support. - The veneration and worship of Mary, praying to the dead (as well as patronized saints) and bowing before idols is utter idolatry. - The concept of "Purgatory" is found nowhere in the Bible and teaches a false doctrine of a temporary Hell, essentially saying that people can continue to live in habitual sin, die in it and still be saved after some spiritual cleansing in the afterlife. What a load of garbage. - The idea that salvation is obtained based on one's own efforts and merit utterly demeans Christ's sacrifice on the cross and its purpose, which God did in pure love as man cannot in anyway live up to the standards of earning it, yet despite being rebellious sinners, God paid our wages in our stead so that we might be reconciled with Him. Salvation is by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by works. Any good works are merely the evidence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in the life of a born-again believer, not a boasting tool to leverage before God as the Roman church and other denominations teach. - The notion of transubstantiation - that the bread and wine during communion literally turn into the flesh and blood of Christ - is based on the same literal error the Jews would mistake Christ's allegorical words for in other areas, thus literally believing to eat human flesh and blood .... this literally classifies as cannibalism in their mind and is utterly condemned as impure and an abomination. Not the communion itself that is (as Jesus Himself introduced it at the last supper as a memorial ritual of His sacrifice, death and resurrection), but their beliefs regarding it. - The idea that one must confess their sins to the priest and that they have the authority to forgive sins is totally usurping a sole authority and right that only God has, as He is the only one faithful and just to forgive and cleanse people of their sins. - Telling people that one alone cannot understand Scripture or be able to interpret it without the aid of the Catholic clergy and magisterium is another demeaning factor of the Holy Spirit, who has been sent with purpose to guide us in God's word and grant us spiritual discernment so that we may not lean on our own understanding but to look towards God for guidance. - Going back to the veneration of Mary .... Catholicism teaches that Mary was a perpetual virgin - that she never actually had sexual intercourse with her husband and that she didn't give birth to any other children. Obviously in the Bible, we hear about Jesus' brothers and sisters .... they teach that these are His cousins and that the terminology used simply indicates a close family bond. In theory, I don't mind if they believe this as this is not essential to salvation, so normally I would not bring it up ..... unfortunately, this is one of the main reasons in which they say that Mary was special and spotless, thus of the many ways how they justify venerating her - even going as far to say that she is a co-mediator with Christ between God and man, if not the sole mediator. Complete utter blasphemy and both a disservice to Mary and to God. There is plenty more I could mention ... quite frankly, if you find the time, watch things documentary which deals with almost all the major fallacies of Roman Catholicism. In short, it is not a church devoted to God but a man-made cult that has gone astray into apostasy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5O5douQaJ2JqZo

@@DiscipleOfTheMostHigh EDIT: Don't respond yet! Tested to see if this comment would send, and it did. Finishing up, now! That's alright :D. We just had a misunderstanding of how this would start. Turns out I have only up until the Eucharist saved on the Microsoft Word thing :/. Without further ado (copying by hand from this point on)... 1. The Pope takes a while to talk about. I think the Papacy is one of the things it takes the longest to defend (longer than it takes to defend the Eucharist, I think), but I'll list a few things. A.) Firstly, let's look at one of the verses Catholics are famous for bringing up in this discussion: Matthew 16:19. Now, I take the verses from a Catholic Bible, and you're of course welcome to check what yours says. Nevertheless, I'll paste what the verses say. *"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven: whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.'"* The first thing I'd like to point out is that Jesus is using the singular form of the word "you." In English, he'd be saying "you" and not "y'all." This is not even to mention that in Matthew 16:18, Jesus talks to Peter alone (You are Peter and on this rock). The second thing, this is a very-obvious echo to Isaiah 22:22, which says, *"I shall place the key of David's palace on his shoulder; when he opens, no one will close, when he closes, no one will open."* In Old Testament times, Kings would have vicars. The vicar's role was to be in charge of things while the King was away. What we see in Isaiah 22:22 is a King giving the key to his vicar, who is the visible head of the Kingdom while the King is away. In the same way, Peter, at least in Catholic teaching, is Jesus' vicar. Jesus gave to Peter the keys of the kingdom, and whatever he closes/binds will be so and whatever he opens/looses will be so. What I learned *_just now,_* actually, looking more at Isaiah 22, in verse 21, *"I shall dress him in your tunic, I shall put your sash round his waist, I shall invest him with your authority; and he will be a father to the inhabitants during his physical absence. You may say that the similarities are coincidental, and, while I disagree whole-heartedly, I'd grant that. With how big the Bible is, there are bound to be verses which look similar. That said, the Bible is one of the most interconnected books, so don't be surprised when people say these blatant similarities are on purpose. I'd just hope you're able to see why Catholics would believe in a divinely-instituted leader of God's people. 2. I'd first like to make something clear, and I'm sure you know what I'm going to say: we don't worship Mary or the saints. Worship is reserved for God alone. A.) You are correct in saying we honor Mary. The reason we do this is because Mary was deemed, by God, to be fit (she was made fit, by God) to raise and give birth to Jesus. Mary is the Mother of Jesus. If we are supposed to honor our own father and mother, why should we not honor the Mother of God? And the reason I capitalize "Mother" is the same reason I capitalize "King." "King" is obviously a lofty title, and so is "Mother of God." There's nothing wrong with honoring people. I don't know if you have kids or anything, but if you do, I would imagine you keep trophies and ribbons representing things they have accomplished (or things accomplished through them), right? It would make sense. The reason you do that is to honor them. That's one of the reasons you'd keep pictures of people you love. B.) Firstly, I think Catholics and non-Catholic Christians (NCC, from now on) have different definitions of "prayer." To Catholics, prayer can be worship or communication/request with those who aren't alive physically, but spiritually more alive than we are right now. With that in mind, the reason Catholics pray to saints is to ask them to pray to God on our behalf. We ask them to pray for us. If you ask someone you know to pray for you, that's OK. They're allowed to reach out to God on your behalf. The saints, who are in Heaven and infinitely closer to God than we on Earth are, too, can reach out to God on our behalf. We see in James 5:16 that "[t]he prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects." Still B.) There are many Church Fathers who spoke of the intercession of the saints. It was believed and practiced early on. Just to give you a few examples, Saint Methodius (305 AD) said, *"Oh holy Mother of God remember us, I say, who make our boast in you . . ."* An anonymous person (350 AD) said, *"Mother of God, [listen to] my petitions; do not disregard us in adversity, but in rescue us from danger."* Saint Origen (233 AD, and this is maybe the best) said, "But not the high priest [Christ] alone prays for those who pray sincerely, but *also the angels . . . as also the souls of the saints* who have already fallen asleep." Saint Clement of Alexandria (208 AD): "[A]nd though he [the true Christian] pray alone, *he has a choir of the saints standing with him* [in prayer]." Last one, Saint Hermas (80 AD) said, "But you, [Hermas,] having been strengthened by the holy angel [you saw,] and having *obtained from him such intercession,* and not being slothful . . ." C.) Yeah, so when we kneel before a crucifix, bow before a statue of the holy family, or do something like this, it's not that we're saying, "Oh boy, what a pretty statue! I'm going to worship that beautiful block of wood!" No. Again, you probably have pictures of people you love. It's not the configuration of ink on a piece of paper that you like, but the person it represents. Heck, even letters and words are idols and images, in that sense. We don't look at the three letters of "God" and worship the letters. We worship what they represent. I'm going to try to send the comment now to see if KZbin wants to work. Don't respond yet!

@DiscipleOfTheMostHigh6 жыл бұрын
It is the ending of a liturgy song called "Blagosloven jesi Gospodi" (Blessed are You, Lord) in a Serbian Orthodox church. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJbadIB3n96jp80 I do not endorse that hash-tag though ....

Niewzruszony przed losem! Spotka śmierć za swoje wyznania! Do boju pójdą poprzez grad kul, Bądź wola Pana! Do boju pójdzie w pierwszej linii, *Aż ujrzy biel oczu, Karoleńczyk maszeruje naprzód!* *Oddał życie swe Bogu, za króla i ojczyznę!* *Aż ujrzy biel oczu, Karoleńczyk maszeruje naprzód!* Morale i religia jednoczą, Odwaga i braterstwo wzmacniają. W Imię Boga spotka go śmierć! Człowiek ofensywy, żołnierz w Imię Jezusa! Do boju pójdą poprzez grad kul, Bądź wola Pana!

I didn't create the wavering flag, but downloaded a separate video with it and converted the file, then I just edited the size to fit the whole screen and made it transparent. I use CyberLink PowerDirector as my video making software.

Google translate funny, the English lyrics make 0 sense in regard to Sabaton’s english version
@DiscipleOfTheMostHigh4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, usually there is a slight variation between the lyrics in English and Swedish in terms of context presented - which is actually why I like the Swedish version of their songs more, as it just seems to fit better :) Though others like the "Lion From The North" is near the exact same in both versions.

Thr caroleans only made war on other Christians countrys. Aftet Carolus Rex defeat againt the Russians he had to flee to the Ottoman empire (muslims) and lived in exil for 5 years. The swedish king nag the sultan to go to war againt the Russians until the sulten had enough. The fight is called "kalabaliken i Bender" in swedish. It enden with the swedish king going back to Sweden. The govermen in sweden was sick of war and sweden was broke but Carolus Rex wanted to keep fightin so he attacked Norway and siege Fredriksten fortress where he was shoot and killed.
@DiscipleOfTheMostHigh5 жыл бұрын
To be fair though, it was in fact the coalition that declared war on Sweden, when Carolus Rex succeeded the Swedish throne at a young age, and thus they thought it was time to cut Sweden down to size, thinking he would be an inexperienced leader. After all, Sweden was one of the great European power houses at the time, arguably the strongest even, and made pretty much all their neighbors very nervous. It is also fair to say that Sweden did have expansionist views so they might have declared war anyway. The Ottomans were a natural political ally in the war since they shared the Russian Empire as a common enemy, though I personally don't endorse that choice, being a Serb, seeing the Ottoman Empire as the both the sick man of Europe and Asia ... not just in reference to their age of decline, but their general mentality and psychotic persecutions, especially in the Balkans and Asia Minor. Since Carolus was wounded even prior to the decisive battle of Poltava, where practically the entire Carolean forces were decimated due to bad replacement officers, there was not much hope after that for Sweden to recover. In a way, I almost feel like the Kalmar Union was the reason that pushed Sweden towards expansionist views, since they and Norway were lesser partners under Denmark and then after the Thirty Years War, Sweden may have become a bit too hardened and overambitious. Some food for thought there, but regardless, Sweden definitely left its mark in history, both in the distant and recent past.
