This song always puts me in a good mood - it's one I listen to in the car if I'm stuck in traffic or stressed - just makes me happy. And I crank it up and sing at the top of my lungs, bobbin' my head & really gettin' into it - love it when people stare at me & smile, knowing I'm happy, and it's okay to BE happy! The world need more sweet, sweet smiles!

Dad listened to country and the radio was on in the morning to get us started (after hearing the crumbling of newspaper to get the woodstove stoked back up). Wikipedia says that this song was the Carpenter's only C& W chart hit. I would have thought that "On Top of the World" would have counted as a Country song, too. I know that was a huge hit of their's.OTOTW definitely had a bit of a Country element to it.
