I would love to get a trailer fro my 07 CVO Ultra. This looks like so much fun and so relaxing. Very cool. New sub here and looking forward to seeing all of your videos.

just ordered one. they do have a larger size that I considered, only like $20 more but I really wanted something I could basically throw a handful of charcoal in or just some small little pieces of wood to cook a burger or a steak or heat up my coffee percolator when camping, and be as compact as possible, hopefully it is just big enough for the coffee pot ,if so it will be just absolutely perfect. I have a little gas burner I can use for heating water but for grilling, the smallest gas grill I have found (and currently use) is still much larger than this and does not pack flat. I think this is going to be the perfect fit! maybe I will do my own unboxing and first try video.

Looks easy to bend the parts. When you push the bread down it almost bent it.

Would it be better in titanium? Cost aside. More related to durability/resist warping. And of course less weight.

Excellent video. Thank you. What do you use under the wooden sticks to help ignition of the wood?

I think on that video I used one of these fire starters: amzn.to/3ZZU6SA

Best review since the hamburger sandwich really puts into the perspective its size. Would you recommend the small for a couple vs the Large for a family of four? Thanks

I can fit 2 burgers on the small. I don't have the large so no sure about it.

Great grill, used once. No dice on keeping the coals lit, no matter how much charcoal you put in. Research and development; need a way for these coals to breath. Holes in plates, but that might affect the warping if you do decide to go that route.I feel like I’m trying to blow up an inflatable pool float trying to keep the coals going. Blowing through a straw is not in option, the grill should just work, and vent accordingly. I usually wait for charcoal to ash over, before grilling. The flames coming off the coals in some of these video’s look like they just lit the coals. Cooked chicken breast sliced the size of a spicy mcchicken from McDonald’s took me about an hour, hotdogs 40 mins. The spark is definitely small, upgrade to larger size if you plan on purchasing this. More novelty, can’t see myself using this daily if you were OTR truck driver. Larger grill might work better than the solo. Need some REAL comments, if you have a larger grill, are you having the same issues? KZbin videos on this grill, read the comments, go from there. Do your research, read pro’s and cons, and possibly wait for a new model. Purchased this grill and the firebox. Still testing both of these grills out. Epic fail on first try with the solo, had to keep adding more charcoal to the grill for it to just fizzle out. Remove food,add more charcoal that is soaked in fuel, and add your food back to the grill, waiting game for my food to finish cooking. Don’t want my food tasting like lighter fluid. Got tips on using this grill, please comment.

I’ve only used wood in the grill. It worked great. They are sending me the larger version. I’ll do a test with charcoal when I get it.

Great and cute video! I wonder wouldn’t food get the black particles from open wood fire cooking? My stainless pot got a black sticky bottom layer after using on a open wood fire. My portable stainless bbq grill (B6 brand) also got a black layer after using. Yes, I’m new on using open fire cooking, although I’m used to cook over propane camp stove. So, I wonder if not good to cook directly on fire? Or using charcoal better, or actually the same? Thank you!

If you've ever eaten real BBQ you ate the wood smoke. A smoker actually intensifies it.

Great timing because yesterday I actually had one of these in my "basket" online and didn't hit the purchase yet. What is your opinion? Do you have any experience with the firebox?

This was the first time I used the Spark. It was an impulse buy but it works very well. This size has room for two burgers.

Looks like you have seasoned the whole thing. Did you get the carbon steel version? Or was that the stainless steel?
@SteveOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
This is the carbon steel version.
@danrammacher97683 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering if you "seasoned" it before use. I saw in the comments it's the carbon steel version so that could explain the difference in color. Great, quick video for the product, perfect demonstration for size. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 would you recommend the carbon or stainless version if going to use as a burn pit also?
@SteveOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
When I bought mine it was a more silver color. I did rub it down with grapeseed oil and put it in the oven for a couple hours to season it a little. That's why it is kind of brownish looking now. I think if I get the bigger version I'll get the stainless steel.

Is that the carbon steel or the other one?
@SteveOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
That's the carbon steel one. I think the other one is stainless steel. I wonder if it would be easier to clean? I just stuck this one at the edge of my campfire to clean it.
@carmenmartinez28823 жыл бұрын
Carbon steel can become nonstick very easy, that’s what I was thinking of getting. Also Carbon Steel conducts heat faster and is harder metal. Of course you do have to be careful not to expose it to moisture as it will rust but I think the pros outweigh the cons. Thanks for a great video, the hamburger looked great! I don’t do motorcycle camping but dispersed car camping with a tent by myself mostly with my dogs and this is bigger than my Firebox which I love but I can use more cooking surface since I go for weeks at a time. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
