However, there seems to be a base note coming out of the synthesizer which is not in tune, and is kind of annoying. It starts at 1:00. But the rest of the song is great, considering the guys are playing it live.

Definitely should have been entered into rock & roll hall of fame way earlier but better late than never! Love how their songs are so simple sounding and just so catchy describing romance, heartbreak, fast cars to hot women... such a dream of a band. RIP to Benjamin and Ric. Think all of them are legends in this magical American band.

Didn’t even notice Scott Shriner was in this until it was mentioned during an interview during an acoustic show. Nice to see Ric Ocasek was on good terms with Weezer before his passing. His work with Weezer (Producing The Blue Album, Green Album, and EWBAITE) introduced me to him and I’m so glad that Weezer could be a gateway to me discovering The Cars. Rip Ric Ocasek

Their music was timeless and eternal still is, it defined a generation. I love it when Elliot turns his guitar up. That goes back to the days before your famous and have a sound guy. Of course I still have to turn mine up myself., but some habits are hard to break. He had to make sure that rockabilly lick was heard !! That’s awesome !

I remember when my friend and his girlfriend pulled up in 1978 jumped out of the car and were literally jumping up and down excited about the new sound blaring out of his 69 beetle,this was in Harewood, Nanaimo B.C. I was intrigued had a listen and was blown away.We were lucky to come of age in those times...the Cars would be played everywhere cruising and at parties...those were the best of times
