CS Lewis once famously proposed a trilemma argument in support of the divinity of Jesus. He said that either Jesus was a lunatic, a liar, or the son of God.
What makes this argument so compelling is that there are a considerable number of people who are prepared to say that they think Jesus is a great moral teacher and guide, but not the son of God. But this is exactly what you can’t say about someone who claims to be of divine origin.
Jesus claimed to have come down from Heaven, he acted with an authority that everyone knew only God had, and when his followers confessed that he is the son of God, he affirmed them in this revelation.
Now a person like that, if they are not divine in nature, cannot be described as a good moral teacher. A good moral teacher doesn’t lay claim to the most audacious origin story imaginable if it isn’t true. He would have to be either a lunatic, a liar, or truly what he claims to be.
And based on the kind of person Jesus was in his teaching and life, the first two conclusions seem to be wholly incompatible which is why so many people quickly jump to this incoherent alternative without realizing how self contradictory it is.
But some people like to add a 4th alternative. They say, maybe it’s all legend. Maybe his followers crafted a highly sophisticated conspiracy to convince the masses that Jesus said and did all the things that are claimed about him in the New Testament.
What I find interesting about this explanation is that there are plenty of case studies from history for us to use to get a glimpse of what that would look like. These would be examples where devotees of powerful and influential people tried to manufacture a persona that would compel the general populace to treat that person with a similar devotion.
And in those cases, we often find a couple things that are characteristic of these attempts. They often involve very powerful people with extensive resources that can be dedicated to the deception and no matter how sophisticated their attempts to produce an effective conspiracy, they never hold together, especially with the passage of time and scrutiny of history.
Take world leaders like the emperors of Rome who attempted to position themselves in the cosmos along side the gods. But they all died, revealing their mortality, and were replaced by someone else making the same claim until, eventually, their empire fell to the same fate of all temporal things.
Or how about a religious figure like Mohammed, the founder of Islam. After struggling to win adherents as a peaceful preacher in Mecca, he moved to Medina where he quickly grew a militant following and reset his aims of conquest back on Mecca and neighboring regions and in the process of conquering these regions, gained huge spoils of wealth and power as a warlord.
Once securing this power, he acted in a way that anyone might expect of a powerful man. He indulged his carnal appetite by taking wives for himself, even more than the Qur’an allows, one of whom was only 9 years old and still played with dolls when he consummated their union.
He personally bought and sold slaves and he killed his enemies mercilessly, at one point executing hundreds of Jews in Medina. He also attempted suicide at one point. Eventually, he was poisoned by a woman whose family he killed.
Now maybe, none of that bothers you from a historical perspective. This is fairly typical behaviour from powerful historical characters. But that’s the point. If he was a prophet of God, someone who enjoyed intimate direct revelations from God, don’t you think there would be something different about him rather than the typical kind of fare we see from those who acquire and possess great power and wealth?
A more contemporary example might be found in the cult of personality among dictators of the 20th century with figures like Joseph Stalin who was portrayed as a wise, strong, and compassionate leader who in fact, didn’t seem to lose any sleep over the millions of Ukrainians he deliberately starved to death, or the countless personal associates who seemed to disappear from history altogether as he purged anyone he suspected as being a threat to his control.
The phenomenon of this kind of modern communist leadership is summarized well by Elena Gorokhova in her memoirs of living under Soviet tyranny when she said, “The rules are simple: they lie to us, we know they're lying, they know we know they're lying, but they keep lying to us, and we keep pretending to believe them.”
The point is these conspiracies, fashioned with huge resources and countless willing accomplices, still couldn’t manage to hold together. Falsehood is a fragile thing compared to the truth.

If you can't manage your own problems alone. You have a problem and you aren't ok yet. Religion will never put something in you, you don't work it on. Put effort, technique, science, reason, and will to get through your problems. Faith is for lazy ones. Don't try to control what it's not supposed to be in anybodies control. First try to control what a normal human being should or could do. Peace

My journey towards Christ began because of "Mere Christianity." I had graduated from college with a degree in English and someone asked me if I had ever read the Bible. I hadn't and was somewhat ashamed of that fact. To just start reading the Bible for the first time can be a bit overwhelming, so I began with an English professor, CS Lewis., whom I trusted. Lewis first pointed out the truth of God to me. And that was almost thirty years ago!

Great video! I believe and confess that Jesus Christ is both human and divine. He is the Son of God and risen from the dead. The Incarnation happened. The death and Resurrection of Jesus happened and he founded his Church on Peter and the Apostles which continues to this day. He promised that he will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and make all things new. History and truth is on our side as followers of Christ.

Salvation by the Jews is key
@wesley3300
@wesley3300 3 жыл бұрын
@@ElizaLL0621 “to the Jew first, then the gentile” It’s part of the answer. I’d often wondered why so many groups like to blame “the Jews” as a scapegoat for so long. When I read my Bible, I realized that the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (later Jesse and David as well) were promised to bless the whole world. With the first advent of Jesus, the firstfruits began to surface and propagate that blessing all over the world, as promised: the knowledge of Yeshua, that salvation is of God and is His son. Now it seems less curious that the world would want to stamp out the Jews. The Jews are the roots by which our salvation has grown. We’d have no Jesus without Israel, we’d have no Israel without God and His sovereign plan to redeem us. If we are freed and blessed by the LORD himself, we are a threat to the principalities of the world. They’ll do everything they can to destroy our faith. Not gonna happen, God is greatest of all. I could ruminate on this all day, so I’ll stop myself here. Just wanted to appreciate your recognition of the Jewish people, you don’t see it very much. I’m not even a Jew, I’m thoroughly gentile by blood, but I love the people by whom God showed himself to the whole world. Thank you, God bless you in the name of Yeshua our Lord :)

Christianity is a very difficult religion to follow as well as to understand fully. If it had been crafted by men only to attract followers, it would certainly be simpler to understand (no such things as the Trinity etc) and less demanding in terms of selflessness.

Great reasoning and will present it to those who dismiss Jesus as the son of God. Even when I share my story with them, they still do not believe in Him. My story: After a near death accident and a Traumatic Brain Injury, my brain was in the state like that of a new born baby. I did not know what I was, who I was, how to talk, walk or anything about life, BUT, I knew that there was a God. In my mind I told God that He had made a mistake and should have taken me. On more than one occasion I sent out the same thought to God. I was in terrible pain and could and could not open my eyes to share my sadness, or move any part of my body. In the hospital, I was known as the miracle patient because none of the surgeons thought I would survive. After one of my cries to God, Jesus came to me, took my pain from all the broken and crushed bones and titanium implants and told me three things that helped me navigate through all the hurdles of recovery. It has been 7 years since that beautiful time with Jesus and I would experience everything again to get another second with Him. My time with Jesus gave me a thirst that this life with never quench and I am so grateful for this second chance at life and try to share my story with others. We are all children of our Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God and He want us all with Him. If I can bring only one person into the kingdom of heaven then I have lived well. God Bless everyone and know that you are all deeply loved by our Heavenly Father, His son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 🙏🏼

Islam The Beautiful Religion ( Be Just ) Quran 5:8 '' O you who believe! stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the > HATRED OF OTHERS TO YOU < make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear God. For God is well-acquainted with all that ye do. '' Quran 4:58 '' Indeed, God commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which God instructs you. Indeed, God is ever Hearing and Seeing.'' ( God's The Rules Of War ) Quran 2:190 '' Fight in the way of God > THOSE WHO FIGHT YOU < but do not transgress. Indeed. God does not like transgressors. '' Quran 2 :193 '' And fight them on until there is no more oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. '' Quran 4:90 ''.........So if they withdraw from you and cease their hostility and offer you peace, in that case Allah has not granted you permission to fight against them.'' Quran 8:61 ''And if they seek peace, then you also seek it, and put your trust in God. He is the Hearer, the Knowledgeable.'' ( Stand Up For Justice ) Quran 4 :135 '' Ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against > YOURSELVES < or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily God is well-acquainted with all that ye do.'' ( Who Are The Good Human Beings? ) Quran 2.177 '' Righteousness is "NOT" that you turn your faces ( In Worship ) toward the east or the west but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in God, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth,> IN SPITE OF LOVE FOR IT,< to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for > freeing slaves < [and who] establishes prayer and gives charity; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. '' ( Freedom To Believe And To Reject ) Quran 2:256 '' Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error '' Quran 10:99 '' And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed > all of them entirely < Then would you compel the people in order that they become believers? '' ( Tolerance For Other Religions ) Quran 109: 1- 6 Say,"O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshipers of what I worship. Nor will I be a worshiper of what you worship. Nor will you be worshipers of what I worship. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." ( Protection for Idol Worshiper ) Quran 9:6 "And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are people who do not know. " Quran16:125 “Call people to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good teaching, and argue with them in the most courteous way” Quran7:199 “Be tolerant....” ( Friendship With Non Muslims ) Quran 60:8 '' God does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, God loves those who act justly. '' ( Do Christians And Jews and "OTHER" non-Muslims go to Heaven? ) Quran 2:62 '' Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,-> ANY { On Judgement Day } ( According to the Quran Christians and Jews worship TRUE God ) (Quran 3:113-114) '' Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book ( Christians and Jews ) are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of God all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous.'' Note: According to the Quran that Jesus is not God nevertheless Christians still worship one '' TRUE '' God. ( > Allah < Is The Protector Of Monasteries, Churches, Synagogues And The Mosques ) Quran 22:40 [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. ( Why Are There So Many Different Religions In The World ? ) Quran 5 48 ''...... If God wanted He could have made all of you a > single nation < But He willed otherwise in order to test you in what He has given you;(scriptures) therefore try to excel one another in good deeds. Ultimately you all shall return to God; then He will show you the truth of those matters in which you > DISPUTE submission < to God), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (Salvation)'' My explanation of above verse Islam mean > submission < to God ( The above verse saying is that God will not accept a religion from the > MUSLIM < and the Non-Muslims but total > submission < to God.) Question: How Can Muslim And the Non-Muslim > submit < to the God? Answer: Be kind to other human beings and Do not lie, Do not steal, Do not cheat, Do not hurt others, Do not be prideful and Do the charity work. ( God Allow Muslims To Marry And Eat Food From the Christian And Jew And Vice Versa ) Quran 5;5 ''This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture ( Christian and Jew) is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture ( Christian and Jew) before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.'' ( Kindness Toward Atheists / > APOSTATE < ) Quran 60:8 '' As for such [ of the unbelievers ( atheist) ] as do not fight against you on account of [your] faith, and neither drive you forth from your homelands, > Allah < does not forbid you to show them > kindness < and to behave towards them with full equity: for, verily, Allah loves those who act equitably. '' ( All The Terrorists / Killers Will Enter Hell Fire ) Quran 5:32 "......Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely......" ( Turned Your Enemies Into Your Best Friends ) Quran 41:34 "The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and thee there was enmity (will become) as though he was a bosom friend." ( The Husband and The Wife Are > Protecting Friends < One Of Another ) Quran 9:71 ''And the believers, men and women, are > Protecting Friends < one of another; they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and they establish worship and they pay the poor-due, and they obey God and His messenger. As for these, God will have mercy on them. Lo! God is Mighty, Wise.'' Quran16:97 “To whoever, male or female, does good deeds and has faith, We shall give a good life and reward them according to the best of their actions. Quran 30:21 “And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you > affection and mercy { Love } The Prophet Muhammad said, “The best among you is the best to his wife” ( Human Are One family ) Quran 49:13 " O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." ( All The Racist People Will Enter Hellfire ) Quran 30:22 "And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge." My comment: The > BASIC < message of God to the human is that '' YOU '' believe in God and be kind to other human beings / > animals < and in the > RETURNED < God will > REWARD < you with a new life in Paradise. * The Quran ONLY guides you how to become a good human being "Nothing Else". * You are a good human being or a bad human being that is YOUR choice. * No one can force you to become a good human being. * You MUST work HARD to become a good human being. * Why should ''YOU'' do good deeds and avoid bad deeds? * Do Good - it's for You. Do Bad - It's against you. * '' YOUR'' life is a TEST from God that you will choose to do either Good or Bad. * Find the excuse to help others and forgive others NOT the other way around. * '' YOUR '' final destination is either Hell or Heaven. * So work HARD toward choice of YOUR destination. Quran 17:7 '' If you do good, you will do so for your own good. And if you do evil, it will be to your own loss.'' ,.,

Modern people look down on history as it was some sort of calcified museum. Of course, if you just look for facts, you will never find any meaning. To find Christ, one must assume that history is alive, and engage personally with it through imagination. If you just read the Bible with your magnifying glass, and try to scrutinize everything with your analytical mind, it won't reveal any magic. Once you start engaging with the stories, Jesus comes to you. Hence you become a Christian, someone who has bonded personally with Jesus. Now, whether he was who he said he was, let's leave that up to God, eh? The Bible talks about the fall as a consequence of overthinking and intellectual pride, basically. Yet that's all modern people do. How about an act of humility and submission? Praise be Jesus Christ!

Didn't Jesus say to Thomas, who doubted him, put his finger through his wounds and exclaimed, "My Lord, and my God!": "You now see, and believe. Blessed are those who do not see, and believe" (Off memory, paraphrased). If Jesus is the Door, the Gateway, you simply must believe HE is who he said he was.

I am a middle eastern Christian (Catholic) who has been watching your videos for a while and I like your approach and respect the work and effort you put to profoundly research your topics and generate these videos. Despite the fact that throughout history we have suffered a lot from Muslims and specially the Turks, this is without talking about the civil wars and the suffering caused and regardless of whether what you say about the Islamic prophet is true or not I don't think you need to take him as an example to prove that Jesus is the son of God since your point has already been proven till before you made the comparison. The approach is inflammatory and this would only alienate Muslims who may have even otherwise even a slight chance see the light and convert to Christianity. I read some reports since some time of Jesus and Mary miraculously appearing to some Muslims (who later converted) so who are we to judge to them (I readily admit it is not very easy for me personally to forget and forgive what I have personally witnessed)? Even though Muslims believe that Jesus is only a prophet they respect Mary the mother of our Lord Jesus the son and some of them even pray for her to heal them. Now this doesn't mean in any way that we should let our guard down but to be fair the main attack on Christianity and Christian values these days does not truly come from Muslims (Isis did not truly see widespread support from them and is probably only a political/military tool created and nurtured by some intelligence agency) but the real danger comes from the atheist and brainwashed people and those behind them and financing their ideology which is even infiltrating Eastern Christian societies and recently even Muslim society. The laws being passed and the media and movies that dishonor our faith and make it very difficult for faithful parents to raise their children according to Christian values specially in the west are not being created, passed, planned, or financed by Muslims. When the Muslims were at the peak of their power they were defeated in France, Spain, the crusades, and in Austria in front of Vienna as well as other places. Eastern Christians (7th to 19th century) were not as lucky but despite suffering humiliation the Muslims allowed them to practice their faith while having to pay taxes and enduring harassments from time to time but nothing compared to the scale endured by the Christians in Ukraine under the communists. Even the vicious Turks did not become as murderess until the last two decades of the 19th century (extermination of Armenians, Syriac, and a third of the Christians in Mount Lebanon during ww1) which raises certain questions that I will not get into now. So to give examples of how some people idolized by those who follow their ideology are not extraordinary people but are nothing but greedy and vicious people easily corrupted by power and become very evil and despotic when they are able, it would have been enough in my humble opinion to give only those examples unrelated to Muslims that you gave. I tend to fear those who corrupt the soul more than those who would threaten to or actually cause only physical harm through violence, war, and unrest. With love and respect.

Islam is an embodiment of the complete, final and universal form of the message which Jesus had prophesied, muslims respect and venerate Jesus Christ they consider him to be one of God’s greatest messengers to humankind. and his mother Mary is regarded as one of the most pure and exalted women of all creation, Three chapters of the Quran feature the life of Jesus, his mother Mary and their family, there is a chapter in the Quran named Mary and she is mentioned 34 times in the Quran, She is honored greatly in Islam, each reveals details not found in the Bible, Jesus (pbuh) is mentioned in the Quran by name five times more than the number of times the prophet of Islam is mentioned in the Book of God,in islame one cannot be a Muslim without believing in Jesus, The Holy Quran, the holy scripture of Islam, is the intact and pure word of God, in which we can trust with full confidence. By enjoining belief in all prophets, Islam invites the world to a common platform of unity, love, brotherhood and peace. Islam stands for the true honour of Jesus. Through lslam alone will be

@@m.forrestal5893 Dude, i hate to ruin your favorite fairytale but no, the authors of the gospels have not been eyewitnesses, and not even Christian scholars make this claim. All the stories about him have been written at least decades after his supposed death. They wrote down stories people told at the fire in the evenings, like people did with Hercules or Achilles, probably all based on real humans. And that Christians are willing to die for their crazy religion is nothing to be proud of. there has literally never been a reason dumb enough that not countless people would have been willing to die for it. Take Islam for example, way more Muslims are willing to die for their faith than Christians, does that make Allah 1% more real? There have been sects where over 80% of all members committed suicide for their gods, does that make their gods any more real? No? Good, your point?

That final argument is what gets me. A lot of his followers were, for the standards of the time, quite middle class (like Peter who was a tradesman and specifically a fisherman) or even uper class (like Paul who was a roman citizen and the modern equivalent of a lawyer and prosecutor). Furthermore, those followers werent spiritual seekers in the eastern sense and judaism was at the time a very materialistic and even martial religion. They werent the kind of meditative new age people that would find a guru interesting. And yet, they lost everything and were tortured just to affirm the divinity and ressurection of some dead (supposedly) jewish prisioner. Frankly, this is an attitude someone would expect from the spartans, who were willing to die just for honor, or the supremely stupid. You can call Peter anything, but not brave. You can call Paul anything, but not stupid.

Brian, I think you're making way too many assumptions here. I don't think that, even as a person of faith, is it justifiable to take all the biblical claims at face value. I'll concentrate on four points: Paul, the numbers of Christians in the first three centuries, the empty tomb and the apostles facing torture & going to their deaths willingly. 1) Paul is the real reason Christianity had much growth at all up until Constantine. It wasn't really the apostles, it was Paul. Paul did not know Jesus, did not get along with Peter, and worked a different territory than the rest of them. Paul never knew Jesus and never once mentions a tomb. Not once. See #3 below. His version of Christianity may haven been (was?) quite different from Peter's, the man with the keys to the kingdom. I find it odd that Jesus says his purpose was not to erase one jot of the law, but then Paul comes on the scene and the Jewish religion gets left behind and the Jews turned into enemies in the first 300 years. Why all that focus on prophecy only to toss the Jewish religion into the dustbin? 2) There were not "thousands of Christians" in the early days. The growth of Christianity was quite slow until the fourth century. Erhman covers this quite fairly in his book The Triumph of Christianity. The rapid growth did not begin until the 4th century. 3) The empty tomb: Apologists and skeptics debate this endlessly on the internet. The best gauge of fact is most likely there was no tomb. Evan Gary Habermas, self-proclaimed "expert" on the resurrection, does not force his opponents to include the empty tomb as a minimal fact when he debates them. The most likely happening is that Jesus' body was left to rot on the cross per Roman practices for insurgents and then tossed into a mass grave. By the time the Apostles gathered their courage and went back, there was no body to put into a tomb. From a historical perspective, this is the *most likely* probability. 4) The deaths of the apostles: We don't have great sources on the deaths of most of the apostles. Just legend and hearsay. Josh McDowell, super-apologist, wrote a book on this and he puts probabilities on the chances that each apostles' distinct legendary death is true. The numbers aren't great. As such he does not factor strongly "the violent deaths of the apostles" as a persuasive measure in his arguments. He and Paulogia discuss this here in a friendly debate/breakdown of their joint appearance on Justin Brierly's "Unbelievable with Justin Brierly" podcast. Paulogia's argues its only 2-3 apostles who arguably "willingly went to their deaths." kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpOXqGeupMqcaNE One final musing...your argument is very Peter-Kreeft-like. It piles assumption on top of assumption with all the assumptions working in your favor. You mention something about skeptics of the time could just waltz into Jerusalem (my words) and start quizzing the witnesses. How? How could that seriously happen. The population of Jerusalem was 600,000 people in the first century AD. There was no body, and the apostles were hiding. How could anyone confirm anything?

I know Bishop Barron thinks the whole "killing every man, woman, child, and animal" thing was more of an allegorical story to show the Jews just how deadly the enemies' sins were, that basically every last bit had to be destroyed. That makes sense to me but I'm not sure how accurate that interpretation is. If it was an actual thing ordered by God, though, I'm stumped. So many things in the Bible are hard to understand. That just adds to my doubt. Why would it be so difficult to accept all of this as true if all God wants is us to believe in it and follow Him? It's so confusing that you'd almost think God doesn't care too much about whether or not we believe in it.

Please see Dr. James Tour's talk on youtube, titled: "Can the Bible be Trusted?" It is an hour long. So maybe on a long drive back from work.

I already walked that path, and believe me, it's very hard, and you can end up losing your faith, you will find many mysteries, strange origins, theories, people who not having all the answers they "wanted" stopped believing, or because what they were taught as children of the bible or what some doctrines affirm are not quite true, either with nuances, or not exactly what they expected, a long pile of questions, that you don't expect to find answers once my personal research ended in a single fact "the resurrection" believe me, you can put the whole bible in doubt, but it all comes back to the resurrection of Christ, there is the great paradigm. it was thanks to a friend who studies with the same people in charge of scriptures of the dead sea and he is a friend of great agnostic theologians and also believers, that I was able to go ahead believing, he helped me with a lot of difficult points, and taught me how to continue, for me he was a lifesaver after a long period of doubt and search, many of my pillars of faith fell down in the process and I had to rebuild some and others, but in the end, only one thing remained, Christ, resurrected or not. that's the miracle! i decided to believe in that great fact! i believe the apostles told the truth . i believe it, and i follow Jesus, if you want to make that journey, get ready and hold on to your faith because you will need it.

@@jesuelm5482 thanks for your testimony , I found myself wanting to believe. Being raise as atheist, I found that our culture lead us to addiction and false premises. Everything is about right now, responding to feeling, falling to consider other, without teaching us about consequences or a better outcome. The Catholic faith seems to want us to flourish, to pretect us from what ever the culture sell as healthy ( but drive us to addiction, selfishness and loosing important value and teaching). For all this I want to believe is true and be part of the community.

@@ravaeric6458 As a researcher historian I have found All Bible versions are false Because according to the christians scholars, they have agreed that the Gospel writers were anonymous.. we don't know who wrote it, whether they were really eyewitness or not,. and by the way who are those who the Christians refer so confidently like Luke, Mark, Mathew, John etc, who were they? they took the Gospels together and just wrote the stories down didn't they?? so who were they? what were their real names? what do you know about their histories and where are the biographies of them? by internal evidence in The Bible that that neither Matthew, Mark, Luke or John were eyewitnesses to the life and teaching of Jesus, and the Gospels of Luke and Mark were not written by Companions Of Jesus. hence their testimony, and therefore The New Testament, is unreliable. the Gospel writers cannot be regarded as reliable as they were not eyewitnesses to Jesus’ life and teachinngs On the other hand paul was not even one of the 12 disciples.. he assumed command by usurping the true disciples and then he hijacked so The doctrine of Christianity has been infiltrated and modified by paul so The Christianity nowadays is more of Paul's Christianity rather then Jesus's Christianity,

What do you think about the fact that Gehenna is not actually a metaphysical hell but a valley near Jerusalem where dead corpses were laid to burn? (the fire was perpetual so that is the eternal fire of Gehenna)

History shows us that once a great leader dies there is always a lot of infighting for control. This did not happen with Christ's followers.

Do you mean like Alexander the Great or Genghis Khan? Because they both possessed empires which were fought over when they died. Jesus had nothing like this which could be fought over

@@phillipbrandel7932 How many followed Christ during his ministry, 12, 100, 1000s? In terms of religion perhaps the early disputes amongst Mohammad's followers would be a good example.

Yeah, it’s one thing for a follower to die for his belief in Christ because he trusts what John said he saw. It’s entirely different for John to die for what John saw.
