Having been a detective for much of my life, my story is somewhat similar to Lee's. I denied the story of Jesus and dismissed them as fairy tales. Having done investigations for 30 years, I can't help but look at the Bible and constantly be in amazement as to the truthfulness of the stories related and connected by the thread of Jesus. I thank God every day for being awakened and enjoying a relationship with Jesus. God Bless

@Mike-sd9we5 жыл бұрын
@@mckinnonmitchell9129 Of course, the Bible contains parables. However, it also contains MANY miracles - haling the paralyzed, giving sight to the blind, feeding thousands, walking on water, and then there is that rising from the dead trick. These events and more were documented while many of those who witnessed them were still alive. They are verifiable and trustworthy through the documentation. Jesus left plenty of "evidence" for anyone who would seek him would find truth. Like Les Stroebel and countless others. Is there faith involved? I didn't witness the incidents, but I know they are reliable. The Bible has an answer for that, to...."Blesses are those who believe without having seen." However, by your own admission, you have already made up your mind. Why would someone believe that God turned into a man when the Bible says that God is greater than Jesus ‘My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28) ‘My father is greater than all.’ (John 10:29) Jesus can not be God if God is greater than him. The Christian belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus. Jesus never instructed his disciples to worship him ‘When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.’ (Luke 11:2) ‘In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.’ (John 16:23) ‘The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.’ (John 4:23) If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God. Jesus worshipped the only true God ‘that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.’ (John 17:3) ‘he continued all night in prayer to God.’ (Luke 6:12) ‘Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve’ (Matthew 20:28) How did Jesus pray to God? ‘he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father’ (Matthew 26:39) ‘During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.’ (Hebrews 5:7) Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face? Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself! Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to ‘the only true God.’ Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him. Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God?
@maxjulien1884 жыл бұрын
@@seekerofknowledge6595 Very thorough analysis, however, have you examined Phillippians 2 verses 6-7. Jesus, who, being in the very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by emptying himself of his divinity, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. John 1:1, In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Hence, when Jesus emptied himself of his divinity and made himself a human, His role changed, he was no longer portraying God the son, but the son of God. This is why He said that my Father is greater than I, because His Father was greater than him since He was in human form during the time when He was on the earth and dwelt among us. His role on earth was not to be God or say that He was God but to be a humble servant of God and fulfill what he came down to earth to do, and that is to save humanity. Jesus has accomplished that mission as such, he ascended back into heaven and has retained His role of God. It is a hard message to understand and only faith can compensate so that you can understand and believe.

He's a homicide detective, he knows firsthand eye witness accounts when he sees them, and the gospels range true to him, even when other skeptics claim they "contradict each other," he was not seeing that because he always deals with eye witnesses at crime scenes and each have slightly different stories due to seeing the event from different angles. We created the sin in the world that causes the suffering I can’t tell you why a certain individual baby dies or when some other horrific thing happens like a rape or a murder I do know that both good and bad things ripple forward into the future and we can’t always see the outcome of it. For example my Great great grandfather ( long story short ) shot a guy he ending up going and being held in prison in there he became friends with the sheriff. After being found not guilty by reason of self defence he kept that friendship with the sheriff and ended up meeting and marrying the sheriffs sister. That in turn created the only possible series of events that could have lead to my grandfather being born ( and by extension myself ) my grandfather during WW2 saved a family of Jews and got them to safety. In the Bible Joseph’s brothers piloted to kill him but sold him to slavery instead. Years later Joseph has become the second most powerful person in the world in that time. And his brothers were starving due to famine . When Joseph reviled himself time them they were terrified of what he would do. @1 K thank you so much. I’m praying for your husband and daughter as well. Our prayers are so effective & I believe that Jesus is going to overwhelm your family & bring y’all closer to Him, and each other, than ever. ♥️ Keep the faith Ma.
@nunyabidnazz23113 жыл бұрын
@@burdeo2313 Thank you so much for your prayers. I’m praying for you and your fiancé as well. I know it is extremely difficult. I believe our prayers are extremely effective. God seriously moves when we are praying in faith and when we are acting as Christlike as possible. When we are the example of love, compassion and kindness, it draws people in. I wouldn’t give up, but keep praying as much as possible that Jesus overwhelms your fiancé and softens his heart, relentlessly pursues your fiancé and sends workers across his path, that will be able to speak to his heart, in a way that no one else can. I’ve found that getting out of myself and praying before responding, or making decisions & exercising patience and love has made quite a difference in drawing my husband and son to Christ. Because I’ve clearly stated that I cannot on my own be patient, loving, gentle and kind, but it is Jesus Christ working through me. I’ve also prayed for my husband to get signs that only he would understand and would know they’re coming from God, then I told him to pay attention and he admitted to me that he has seen God changing his situation at work, and only God could be responsible. I’m telling you that to encourage you. Because Jesus will move Heaven and Earth, and leave the 99 to go get that one lost sheep 🥺♥️ Just amazing!! Plus, the more of us in prayer for each other, will make such a difference as well. God loves us more than we can even begin to imagine. So I know, I believe and am so sure, that our prayers Will be answered. 😊 It’s up to your fiancé to accept and invite Jesus Christ into his heart, but only Jesus can set the stage and the right circumstances....and He will. We must believe, believe, believe. Numerous times in the Bible Jesus said “your Faith has made you whole” or “because of your Faith.” Since He never changes, I know that our Faith will make all the difference. I’m so sorry to write you a book Miss Bri. I just want you to know that I’m sincerely praying for y’all and want to remind you that God can overwhelm the heart like no one can. What we must do is draw as near to Jesus Christ as possible. Read the word as much as possible, pray without ceasing, and then BE the example. We’re never going to be perfect on Earth, but we can make a huge difference simply by being the best example of Christ as we can. Don’t forget, expect a miracle!! Do you really, truly believe the word of God? Yes!! I know you do, so you really must believe with every fiber of your being that God is going to do His part! ❤️ 🤗 He loves your fiancé more than you do 😉 He’s got this!! I love you my Sister in Christ. Expect a miracle!! 💜 ♥️ 🤗 😊 🙏🏾

@sudeepjoseph694 жыл бұрын
@@Itsatz0 Why do you keep deleting your comments right after you post them? Anyways, you have no evidence for it to be copied. And the birth, life, and death of Jesus was already prophesied 600 years before by Prophet Isaiah. And Jesus's life matches the closest with Isaiah's prophesy so we can know that that story was the one being prophesied about. And anyways, all those other stories are not even close to what Isaiah prophesied. And the fact that Jesus fulfilled so many prophesied right when he was born and that he was a Jew automatically makes him the closest reference to what Isaiah was prophesying about. And don't even say that the Bible manuscripts are not reliable as it has more than 5000 original copies of the New Testament, more than any other historical documents, especially from 2000 years ago. And the New Testament passes the bibliographical test showing that it was not made up later on but was actually a primary source. The earliest copy is of John's Gospel made 30-50 years after it was actually written, the closest copy based on time for a document written 2,000 years ago. See just because you are ignorant and don't like Christianity doesn't mean you can throw away the evidence. I really can't be typing all this out. So please actually go read the book for evidence like these and stop being ignorant.

And both are based on his invented testimony. The movie takes place in 1981 because that’s the year Strobel converted. In the movie he interviews Gary Habermas who says that Christianity gave him hope after his wife died. His wife died 1995. The conversion story of Strobel sounds very nice… because it’s fake. He converted after reading an apologetics book in 1981 without interviewing anyone and without any more investigation than all other people who convert to Christianity or any other religion.

It is so difficult to relay this type of story to skeptics, because so much of the journey is inward and experiential. It's easier to dismiss the whole thing as a lie than to investigate Lee's claims to come to their own conclusion. Lee went into the investigation with a journalistic bias of exposing Christianity as a fraud, and he STILL came out of it a strong believer! There is a lot to be said for that, if nothing else. May God continue to bless Lee, his incredible ministry, and his loving family. I am still awe-inspired by this, and hope that God will permeate my life and family the way that He has with Lee and many others.

@@crazyprayingmantis5596 If Strobel interviewed people again for his book, that does not mean that his original inquiries don't exist. He gave up a lot of material goods and status to be where he is today. I could have made a lot of money as an "exotic dancer", but never said yes to even one person. There is more to life than money or fame. We have far better reasons for being here.

I've been doubting so much of my Loving Lord. This video has popped in my recomended a few times but i rejected it.... Today i couldn't take it anymore and watched the whole thing. Jesus talked to me through it, he got me back on track, He saved me from myself and put me to tears. Jesus has done nothing but make my family better... I recieve him and confess him as Lord.

@@Mavors1099 Maybe you should open your eyes. Look around bud. It's all coming true Infront of our eyes. Still. People deny Jesus. Don't walk with them man. Let God in. I swear to you I'm not just talking out my ass here. I'm not perfect and I'm far from a saint. But God is real. I know this to be a fact. A car wreck that almost killed me left me with alot of questions. The story here lead me down the path I needed to find God. They want you to say it's bs. They want you to turn him away. Don't. I promise you man. Your life will change for the better. No matter how good or bad it currently is. I don't know. But letting God in will only make it better. God bless, I pray you finally let him in before it's to late. Don't be one of the ones in regret on your knees realizing it was all true and you never saw it.

I was just listening to this on the radio the other day and had to get out of the car for an appointment. I had no information on this, as I caught it a few minutes in. God is so good! Just popped up in my recommendations!! Jesus Christ is King of Kings, the way, the truth and the life!!
