Interesting how people will form a lynch mob around someone who was catfished into admitting they'd molest a 17 1/2 year old (not saying that's a good person either), but then defend this monster of a child abuser who left permanent horrific physical harm? Strange priorities. At least the molesters have a paraphilia. Mauchausen by Proxy is not even an illness, it's a syndrome. It is collection of behaviors. She was neurotypical enough to stand trial and be condemned, leaving a precedent... had she not received a different kind of "justice". So it's not like Gypsy's actions were perfect, but given the circumstances she definitely should have been let off, IMO.

Gypsy knew of no way to get away from her. Murder is not ok but in a way it seems like self defense,. Don't hate me.

i agree, gypsy is a nutcase due to her upbringing and experiences, but she was desperate because her ''mother'' has always been able to thwart and explain away any of gypsy's previous attempts at acting/ showing people shes not disabled, got caught running away, any attempts to tell or seem like she was trying to tell anyone anything was always intercepted and averted by mummy dearest. while i do not consider her a hero or a celebrity, i have support for her because she was in a very extreme situation and she did what she had to do, she tried ‘’ just leaving/running away, she tried telling people; nothing worked, one run-away incident the cops brought her back and her mom presented documents saying she was incompetent, she was younger than she was and so forth. as dee dee was a master manipulator and was able to convince everyone for over 20 years, that gypsy was disabled / sick / incompetent; had no understanding of fact vs fantasy, and had for the most part kept gypsy in an altered mental state as well as basically programmed her and encased her entire life of a twisted fantasy world, on top of all that, any attempt gypsy made to get out of her situation, she was further abused, restricted and punished. So yes, I understand gypsy had to do this, many Munchausen’s kids do not survive, and gypsy’s case, it was getting worse, til ultimately dee dee would have killed gypsy; and would have milked her daughter even in her death and made herself out to be this ‘’amazing sacrificing devoted mother’’, I also think that if gypsy had done it herself, and not coerced a mentally unstable and disabled man to do it for her, she might have gotten a ruling of justifiable homicide / self defense. But gypsy did manipulate as she was raised by the master of manipulation; but to be fair nick godejohn was not just an innocent disabled guy, he is sick, and dangerous, as he has had fantasies of rape and murder to name a couple of examples. He needs to be in some form of protective custody and be monitored, if not gypsy and her situation, nick would likely have murdered and / or raped, somewhere down the line, so he does not need to be out in free society either way; and gypsy needs to be in a group home or halfway house as she is a very damaged person who has only recently been able to start experiencing the real world and this is likely going to catch up with her one day and shes gonna be in a world of hurt , frustration , and utter confusion. In the end of the day gypsy is still a very damaged broken person who needs to be treated with caution while still giving her support to help her through her ordeal as much as possible. Gypsy is not someone id trust, but i do hope she can get help, but she needs to get out of the lime-light and focus on recovery, and un-learning all those negative behaviors.

rod seems sweet but he also is not the brightest and he himself was quite gullible and manipulated as he didnt really press deedee or push but to be fair when he did attempt to do so, deedee would pull away and make the gap wider. but regardless, he is still a simpleton.
