Hi that's a great review! Thanks for it!! I have one question for you, is solar charging enough for an everyday usage? if I assume that I don't use GPS or something like that, that will drain my battery fast
@firstclasswatches6 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks very much! Solar charging is perfect for everyday usage. Here is some guidelines to maintain good charging levels (ignoring GPS): Sunny day, outdoors (50,000 lux): 12 minutes/day Sunny day, near a window (10,000 lux): 45 minutes/day Overcast day, near a window (5,000 lux): 72 minutes/day - Note: Charging is performed even with exposure to indoor fluorescent lighting (500 lux). The watch will be able to maintain a charge of half battery or higher if it is exposed to indoor fluorescent lighting for eight hours a day, in addition to light near a window on a sunny day (10,000 lux) for two hours a week. At a charge of half battery, all watch functions are supported, except for GPS.

Please help :D
@hectorflores1294 жыл бұрын
I don't have this watch but I do know that the altitude reading is affected by barometric pressure unless you activate the gps to get a more accurate reading. You won't want to do this unless you are doing something where you would like to know your altitude because the gps will drain the battery pretty quickly.
@ganbatte12604 жыл бұрын
Hi hector. Thank you so much for the information. Yes, you are correct. I have search in other videos, that is exactly what you said. So its not a perfect altimeter if im not connect the watch to the app.
@hectorflores1294 жыл бұрын
Yep. I have the original rangeman and I have found that the altimeter, although also based off of the barometer, can be quite accurate if you adjust it to the known elevation when you are about to use it for hiking and stuff. Other than in that scenario, the altimeter is not going to be accurate at all for day to day use to just know your elevation throughout the day.

Can I see the map on my phone without any internet facility so that I can navigate in a lonely desert without any internet or network facility??
@firstclasswatches6 жыл бұрын
To the best of our knowledge, the watch can be used to do basic point-to-point navigation without internet assistance, but this would require you to add way-points while at a certain location or using the G-SHOCK Connected app in advance (I believe this requires internet access). Unfortunately this limits the navigation functionality but if you have all the way points in memory you can display the current location on a route or bearing to a destination.

@firstclasswatches6 жыл бұрын
Hello! When on the App you can create a new route from points you search from google maps, from your activity log or from external data. Unfortunately you cannot directly enter coordinates into the search but you can enter the place name just as you would on Google Maps. (This has almost every place in that you could ever want) We tried a lot of places to see if we could break it and it found them all with no trouble.
