I’m scared for the movie because it seems so wrong from the book. Even sometime as simple as a hair colour is being ignored. Jos hair is talked about a lot as being a beautiful chestnut and it’s clearly not. Meg comes across as feministic and she really wasn’t in the books

I like Saoirse Ronan as Jo because she gives her the touch of an Irish independent rebel. And it's good when Meg's part is stressed. Emma Watson said in an interview that Meg is a feminist because she deliberately chooses marriage and family. Meg is a great actress and loves books, and she's the head of the Pickwick club. I think it's good she is not depicted as a boring girl, but a woman who chooses love.

Here we are one year later, have you seen it yet? :) I have! And her character Yelena was absolutely bad ass, so incredibly charming, heartfelt, funny and authentic without Florence's character I don't think I would enjoy or remember as much about this film, she made the film for me, she was so good, I really felt her character if you know what I mean and the russian accent was just perfect, almost all of the scenes she's in are so memorable, gosh really can't praise her enough! Average film, but Florence's top notch acting gave the fim some character, a soul and a bit of fun a bit of action, Yelena Belova is the coolest!

I'm not entirely sure if actors doing promotion is contractually obligated or voluntary to boost your own profile and awards awareness. Either way I imagine Emma Watson probably didn't want to do the promotional tour, regardless of the quality of the film, it involves a lot of travel and repetitive interview questions and playing beer pong on Jimmy Kimmel. If I were still collecting royalty checks from Harry Potter and Beauty and the Beast, I'd probably negotiate a low promotional tour into my contract.

Nat Le well yes, that’s not wrong. meg is pretty much the least adventurous character and neither saoirse nor emma are like that at all. but still i think that meg is a really important character and not boring or dull. all of the 3 other march sister are adventurous and resist the views on what a woman is there for or has to do of those times. they’re all different than what they’re expected to be and make it look like this was a time, which wasn’t good for women and where women couldn’t really be happy. and of course it was, but meg instead showed, that you could be happy with these things too, they’re not as bad as jo, amy and beth might make the look like. meg showed that it was indeed possible for women to be happy in such times and to fulfill their dreams, so i wouldn’t say that she’s dull or boring, instead she’s a really important and interesting character. also i apologize for possible grammar mistakes, english isn’t my native language and i sometimes have some troubles with the grammar.
