yaay, maybe wikipedia could be helpful, sorry I can't explain better because I'm not english native speaker. The language has not own territory, and no language family like finnish and hungarian or slavic languages etc., just one guy came with idea let's make a language that anybody could understand and speak, you can find some similarities between esperanto and latin, english, germanic languages and romani languages (declension, pefix, sufix, vocabulary).
