Chad will never kill or harm his sister and Samantha takes it upon herself to take care of her. Three killers: Chad, Sam, Kirby. Kirby is the mastermind, paying homage to WILLIAMSON'S SCREAM 3 original SCRIPT, CULT OF STU MACHER/THE FOLLOWING. Kirby only has one kill: Samantha. There have been halloween movies without Laurie in it. It's not a huge deal for Sidney to sit this one out. After all, Scream = Ghostface, not necessarily only Sidney. Scream IS Neve Campbell. Ghostface's whole motive to kill has been about infiltrating Sidney's life and trying to kill her for something they think she owes them and without her Ghostface as a killer has no reason to. What's their motive for Scream 6? Killing Gale because her first screenplay got leaked for the next Stab movie and they didn't like she made Dewey the lead character in it? Just watch, it'll be that lame of a plot. Oh but wait, without Sidney Prescott there'd be no Stab movies either so it's still about Sidney but it won't HAVE Sidney in it. She's probably reduced to a billboard on a city bus passing by. Sidney's picture with the caption "Don't be a victim, be a survivor! Call your nearest hot line for help".

She’s the reason a lot of people go and see those movies so yes, she should be paid as the ‘face’ of Scream, not necessarily for the amount of screen time. I’m not saying it’ll tank, but it’ll be interesting to see if her absence will affect their box office figures at all. I won’t be going to the cinema, I’ll likely watch it once it’s out to rent or something but without Sidney in it, im not sure there’s enough to make me watch it. Scream 5 was a disappointment in my own personal opinion.

She did the voice of the principal over the intercom to tell the students to stay safe while there is a curfew. It was to pay homage to the first scream as well as honoring Wes craven. There were many other Easter eggs in the movie. Mathew Lillard and Hayden Panettiere did voice overs as well in scream 2021. They voiced some of the party goers at the end of the movie.
