Apex is different to the likes of CSGO or LoL and for good reason. Those games are popular esports because there is never a lull. There's always action and if there isn't, its tense as all hell. Watching CS teams play passive defaults can still be thrilling in their own right, especially when its between the best IGLs of the scene. You can bet the final ring is a similar atmosphere and demands comms just as good. Mid-game just looting and poking far away teams? There's some room to chill a little, if you want that is.

It's video games where you're shooting people. The casual audience isn't watching the professional events. I know even non-casuals that don't watch them. From what I've seen, it's really only hardcore players and fans that watch them. Nobody's taking time out of their day to watch people they don't care about play a video game. The casuals aren't watching.
